Now that we've covered winery tours and brewery tours, it's time to move on to something for our more hardcore drinkers: distillery tours. If tasting various liquors for four hours sounds like fun (and if you're celebrating a bachelor/bachelorette party, why wouldn't it?), then you've come to the right place! We're here to help you decide which options best suit your needs, and also offer some advice on how to not get too inebriated too early in your celebration. Austin distillery tours have plenty to offer, so you don't want to miss out! Which Distilleries Should You Visit? There are a plethora of distilleries to visit in both the Austin and Hill Country areas. It really just depends on what you're wanting to drink! If we may be so bold as to make a few suggestions, though: Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery Dripping Springs is sort of the hot place to be in Central Texas right now. Located between Austin and the Hill Country, Dripping Springs is home to some of the best distilleries out there, especially when it comes to vodka. First up is the Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery. What makes this particular venue so great is that it has something for everybody. Famous for their flavored vodkas (Ruby Red Grapefruit, Sweet Tea and Peach are just some of the flavored options), Deep Eddy is a distillery you don't want to miss. Dripping Springs Vodka, Gin & Bourbon Distillery Rounding out Dripping Springs is the aptly named Dripping Springs Vodka, Gin and Bourbon Distillery. If we're being quite honest, we're including this one if only because it offers three of the five "Big Liquors," so there's bound to be something for everyone in your group! Still Austin Whiskey Co. If you are a fan of housemade liquors, then Still Austin Whiskey Co. is your distillery. Everything is made in-house and 100% locally made from grain to glass, as their website proudly states. This is a great stop to make around lunch time since the Pan-Asian food truck Soursop is in the same parking lot. Texas Saké Company If you'd like a break from some of the stronger liquors, give Texas Saké Company a try. It's a nice little palette cleanser from all of the other distillery. If you're staying in Austin, it's also a great place to end your tour since it's located in the South Lamar area in the middle of Austin's busy tourism district. We're getting ahead of ourselves, though. The first thing you should do when planning a distillery tour is to make a plan. Do some research on the distilleries in the area. Check and see when they are open and what their hours are. If you have a large group, call ahead and make a reservation (if the distillery accepts reservations). Tips for Distillery Tours in AustinWe've all had it happen before: you day-drink a little too much and by the time it's time to hit the town you're ready to hit the sack. It's easy to avoid this with a winery tour or a brewery tour, but when you're tasting hard liquor all day it all comes down to two things: pacing and moderation. When you're on a winery or brewery tour, you won't be tasting full glasses of wine or full pints of beer, but you have the option to purchase them. The same thing happens at distilleries, so you'll just want to remember to pace yourself and drink lots of water between stops. There are two types of tours at a distillery: a distillery tour and a tasting one. A distillery tour will walk you through the process of making the liquor and a tasting tour is, well, a tasting tour. For maximum effect, we recommend visiting 3-4 distilleries and switching between distillery and tasting tours at each stop. As for how to display good manners in a distillery, it's fairly simple. There are three things you should do to make a good impression at a distillery: Be on time! Treat this as you would to any other reservation. If you make one at a distillery, that means they turn down potential business from other reservations to accommodate yours. Be respectful and be on time. This means that when you set a pickup time for your party bus, you need to make sure everyone is on time for that as well. Speaking of: book a party bus for group transportation! Tip the tasting room staff. The tasting room staff should be tipped as you would tip a server at a restaurant. They are entertaining you for the time you are there and should be rewarded for that. Share photos and videos on social media. Finally, it's important to remember that the best kind of kickback you can give a local distillery is to promote them on social media. Take pictures at each distillery and tag them on social media. It's a great way to show your appreciation. What Ninja Buses Has to OfferNinja Buses visits dozens of distilleries every weekend, so what we can offer you is inside knowledge on the ins and outs of each distillery, carefully guiding you through the selection and planning process.

So you've got a date set for your bachelor/bachelorette party, but maybe a winery tour isn't the route you want to take. Or maybe you don't want to travel to the Hill Country to drink. If you don't, then you're in luck! Taking Austin, Texas brewery tours is the perfect way to spend the day before your nightly festivities. Think of it as an extended pre-gaming session. Why Go to Austin, Texas for Your Brewery Tours? If you still haven't decided on a city for your bachelor party, then you may need some convincing that Austin is the right place for your celebration. Austin is also home to over 30 breweries that you can visit during your big weekend. Of course, it didn't use to be this way, but over the years the industry has seen a rather notable increase in size. It seems like there are new breweries popping up every single day! One area where the Austin beer scene benefits over the Austin wine scene is the locations. Most of the wineries are relegated to the Hill Country (there are a few in Austin but they're not as densely populated as the breweries). There are breweries all over the city. No matter which area of Austin you are staying in, there are bound to be a few breweries near you. Be it North Austin, Downtown Austin, the East Side or South Austin, there are a plethora of options for you to choose from. We are partial to Austin Beerworks and Jester King Brewery, but don't forget the unique breweries like Blue Owl Brewing, which is the nation's first sour mash-only brewery! Why Do a Brewery Tour For Your Bachelor Party?Look, we're not saying you should only do a brewery tour for your bachelor party, but you should at least make it one of the various activities you have planned (assuming you followed our suggestion and did plan out your weekend). As mentioned above, doing a brewery tour during the day is a great way to get you in the party mood for that night's festivities. Whether you're a beer aficionado or a novice, a brewery tour is always fun. Not only do you get to learn about the beer you are drinking, but you're also able to try things you may not have tried in a bar or restaurant setting. We've found that tours like these are the best way to get yourself to try new things. You've already paid for the tour, so what's the harm? Why is a Party Bus Your Best Option? Finally, a party bus is the best option for your brewery tour, if only because it keeps your entire group together so that you don't have to rent a bunch of Ubers to cart all of you around. You could choose to book with a company that deals exclusively with brewery tours in Austin Texas, but the downside to that is once the tour is over you are done.
With a party bus, you can opt to keep the party bus throughout the night and have it take you wherever you need to go. There also won't be any extra charges for a private tour since all party bus rentals are private. Plus, there will be plenty of space on a party bus to bring some alcohol of your own. Most party buses are equipped with superior stereo systems and flat-screen TVs as well, which aren't things you're likely to find in a brewery tour company. One thing you definitely want to remember when booking a party bus for your brewery tour is this: find out who is responsible for making reservations at each brewery. Most breweries accept smaller groups on a walk-in basis, but they require advance notice for the larger groups. Some party bus companies will arrange all of this for you, but others will not. Make sure you know if you are responsible for making reservations at the breweries. When it comes to financial planning, it's the easiest way to make sure everyone knows how much money they have to spend on travel (and they can pay in advance!). When you're planning a bachelor party, the only extra expenses you should have to worry about are food and drinks. Don't make travel a variable cost. Get it locked down in advance so you don't have to worry about it! This will save you from any awkward moments with your friends when it comes to collecting cash at the end of the trip. To book your bachelor party brewery tour, contact Ninja Buses and learn about all of the best spots to go visit! Taking wine tours isn't exactly the first activity that comes to mind when you think of a bachelor party, but hear me out. If you've got a full weekend planned (which you most definitely should), a wine tour is a perfect breather between those typical bachelor party activities in Austin Texas. How Can Your Bachelor Party Be Different with a Wine Tour?Wine bachelor (or bachelorette) parties are on the rise. There are plenty of ways to drink on the big night/weekend, so why not mix it up a little bit? Austin has emerged as one of the prime go-to destinations for bachelor and bachelorette parties, but if you want to get out of the city for just a bit, a wine tour is a perfect way to do that. You can get a ride out during lunchtime and be back in the later afternoon before the real festivities begin. What is Special About Wine Tours in Austin, Texas? When most people think about the best wineries in the country, Texas isn't a location that immediately springs to mind. The big spots are Napa, Willamette Valley and Sonoma. Don't underestimate the Texas Hill Country, though. Just about an hour-long drive from downtown Austin sits over 70 wineries for your visiting (and tasting) pleasure. This region has emerged as the center of the Texas Wine Industry, and for good reason. It's quickly growing to be known as one of the best wine regions in the world! This may come as a surprise, considering that Texas has to fight many odd weather challenges (hail, intense heat, late spring frosts, etc.), but those conditions are what have made Texas wine so unique among all other wines. The wineries in the Texas Hill Country all offer tastings for a nominal fee, especially when compared to some of the wineries in the more popular regions of the world. Also a plus? The wineries in Texas are a little more experimental than most other established wineries in the popular regions. So you're likely to taste something unlike anything else you've tasted before. Another unique aspect of Hill Country wineries is that many of them opt to sell directly to consumers as opposed to going into distribution. You won't be able to find many of these wines in your local grocery stores. Wine tours in the Texas Hill Country aren't only about the wine, either. On the drive out to the Hill Country, you're bound to be amazed by all of the sites, especially if you visit some of the wineries in Fredericksburg, a small town noted for its Main Street Shopping District. Why is a Party Bus the Suitable Option For You?There are many wine tour companies in the Austin area, but usually, their default rates are per person and are for non-private tours (meaning you will be joined by a few other groups of people). If they do happen to offer private tours, the rates for those will be higher than the non-private ones.
With a party bus company, your tour will always be private and it will not be charged at a higher rate since party bus bookings are private. Because many of these touring companies have smaller vehicles, they also have a limit on how many people can be on a bus at one time. If you book a party bus, then you can have up to 30 people in your group altogether. Most party bus companies charge by the hour, as opposed to the passenger quantity, so in the end, you'll save a lot more money by booking a party bus. If you have a smaller group, then a wine touring company is probably your best option, but if you have more than 10 people, then a party bus is the way to go. Do you know that party buses come equipped with superior sound systems and TVs for your viewing pleasure? Most vehicles used by touring companies will be large vans or trucks that do not come equipped with amenities such as these. Plus, with a party bus, you are free to move about and avoid the cramped spaces of vans. It's called a party bus for a reason! One final benefit of booking a party bus for your wine tour is that you can choose any wineries you want to visit. Most wine tour companies have established relationships with certain wineries and thus have pre-selected routes for you to take. If you book a party bus company, you're in control! To recap, here are the major differences between using a party bus and a touring company for your wine tour: Touring Company
Party Bus Company
When planning your friend's bachelor/bachelorette party, don't let standard touring companies put a limit on your imagination or your fun. Ninja Buses offers knowledgeable planning guidance and a one-of-a-kind party bus experience. Contact us for more information about wine tour planning and laissez les bon temps rouler! If you've never done it before, booking a party bus can be a somewhat nerve-wracking process. What are the rules? What do I need to look out for? Why is it so expensive? Are you getting ripped off? It doesn't have to be, though. We want to make the process as painless as possible. So how do you rent a party bus? Let's find out. Tips for Renting a Party BusRenting a party bus is a relatively simple procedure, but there are still a few things that you'll want to make sure you do when going through the process. This ultimately boils down to one thing: know as much information beforehand so that there are less unknown variables when making a reservation. The five main things you will want to know are: 1. Guest count. While most party bus companies charge by the hour, some charge per passenger. Even if they do charge by the hour, you'll want to know your guest count to ensure you pick the right size bus. 2. Time length. Remember that you're paying by the hour. When letting your party bus representative know how long you would like to book the bus for, be sure to give yourself plenty of time and account for drive times between stops. 3. The rules. Read the rental agreement/contract! You will see many of the same stipulations shared between party bus companies' contracts, but many have their own special rules as well. It is important to read this document thoroughly, especially when dealing with a busload of inebriated passengers. 4. The fees. It's okay to ask about any extra fees. Most party bus companies include a service charge that is a percentage of your subtotal, but you want to make sure you know exactly what that fee covers. 5. The itinerary. This is the one thing most people forget about when reserving a party bus. You know you want to ride in one, but where do you want to go? Procedure for Renting a Party BusIt may seem like a simple task, but you'd be surprised how many people don't understand how booking a party bus works. Knowing that, we've put together a step-by-step procedure that most party bus companies follow when making reservations. That procedure is comprised of seven easy steps:
When you're following this procedure, use the tips we listed above, and be sure to brush up on the rates of party buses and the rules of party buses. Remember, you can never be too informed. Austin, Texas is the perfect city for planning the "perfect" bachelor party, but what exactly does that mean? It means that everything goes off without a hitch. Austin, Texas offers an endless selection of bachelor and bachelorette activity options, and that is why planning is so important! Here we will look at what it takes to plan a memorable bachelor party in and around beautiful Austin, Texas. Why Is Planning a Bachelor Party Important?Let's assume that the person planning the bachelor party is either the best friend or a relative of the groom-to-be(no groom should ever have to plan his own bachelor party). When planning a night out with a group of friends, there's usually valuable time wasted trying to determine where everyone should go. Austin, Texas in particular, with its nightlife, its wine and brewery tours, and its live music, can create indecisiveness if plans are not nailed down ahead of time. But if you plan ahead, you can't go wrong no matter what you choose to do in this exciting city! What Aspects Should You Consider?First, lock down the date and length of the party. Is this going to be a destination bachelor party? Will it take place over a whole week, a weekend, or just one night? It is impossible to plan the party without knowing how much time you're working with and where you're going. When that is settled, it's time to select a party bus, this "How to" guide will help you consider every bachelor party planning factor. Finally, it is time to plan the itinerary. So what does the groom-to-be like to do? If he's not into sports, nix the sports bars. If he loves dancing, start thinking about the most exciting dance clubs (there are more than a few in Austin!). Simply put: keep the groom in mind throughout the planning process. Next, pick locations and decide how long you're going to stay at each stop. Since you're already spending the money on a party bus, set aside some time to actually enjoy it, especially if most of your scheduled stops are in close proximity to one another. Night rides around the beautiful city of Austin, Texas on the ultimate party bus can really take the whole experience up a level. Another key to successful bachelor party planning is remembering the little details that most people tend to forget during a wild bachelor party weekend...like hangovers. Make sure you leave enough time in the morning for everyone to get over their hangover, or make sure you rent a bus with a sofa or a bed so that some of your group can recover while you're on the road. Once everything is in place and you are sure your bro or sis will have the time of their lives, enjoy the ride and have fun! After that, it's just a waiting game until the big day! Contact Ninja Buses to find out how we can bring our bachelor party experience to your friend's celebration. Once you've chosen which party bus company you are going to use and reviewed the rules for that company, you must decide which bus you are going to ride in during your trip. You may think that it doesn't matter which bus you choose, but not all party buses were created equally. There may be a certain feature that you assume is featured in each party bus that actually isn't. There are a few things that you will want to keep in mind after reading this party bus guide. Choosing Party Bus GuideHeadcount If you have 20 guests, you don't necessarily want to rent a bus that can accommodate 40 people. Odds are, it's going to be more expensive and you'll have plenty of unused space. So unless you really want your party bus to be spacious, choose a bus that fits the size of your group. Knowing your full headcount can be a bit of a gamble, however. Most of the time, someone may bring a guest that you didn't account for, so you'll always want to account for two to four extra heads when planning your party bus experience. Personal Items On that same note, if you know your group will be bringing a lot of items onto the party bus (say, ice chests for summer float trips), then you may want to choose a bus that has a little bit of extra room. If you rent a 20-person party bus for your group of 18, they may feel like sardines in a can if everyone brings a large personal item on board. Prevent Things From Getting Awkward If you're throwing a bachelor or bachelorette party, it's unlikely that everyone invited will know each other. It can be beneficial to allow a little extra space so people who don't know each other don't feel obligated to sit next to each other. Of course, if it's a pretty close-knit group, then this might not matter to you! Amenities Party buses have a wide variety of amenities, and if you're throwing a bachelor party these will no doubt be the most important factors to consider when booking a party bus. It is so important to choose the right bus so that you don't kill the vibe during the party. For example, if the groom-to-be loves karaoke, then find a bus that includes a karaoke system! Other amenities to consider are stripper poles, wet bars, video game consoles, TVs and DVD players. Another big item that people tend to forget is a restroom. If you're going to be driving around town most of the night with limited stops, a restroom can be an invaluable amenity. Lastly, it's always beneficial to think about safety, especially when alcohol is involved. Most party buses will have certain safety measures in place, so check and see what your party bus offers. Before choosing which party bus you're going to use, make a list of everything you would like to see in it and use that list when making your selection. Why Ninja Buses?Ninja Buses offers a wide variety of amenities in our fleet of vehicles, which makes it a perfect fit for any type of bachelor party needs.
Our most popular bus is "Calypso", John Denver's actual tour bus! This bus is like a time portal back to the '80s, but with a modern flair. The furnishings are the same as they were when Denver traveled across the country (wet bar, velour seating and a nautical-themed interior), but we have added TVs, speakers, two Nintendo Entertainment Systems, karaoke and more! This is the ultimate bachelor party bus. As for the rest of our fleet, have you ever wished you could throw a party in one of Austin's Cap Metro buses? If so, then you are in luck! Our newest acquisition is an actual Cap Metro City Bus. Booking a trip in this bus brings back memories of college trips downtown, only this time you have exclusive use of the bus and you're allowed to drink! This bus is perfect for bachelor parties that are comprised mainly of bar-hopping around the city of Austin. Filling out our fleet are two school buses that have been refurbished into party bus-style seating, with TVs and sound systems added for good measure. If you're going to the lake or planning a float trip for your party, these buses include in-seat Yeti Coolers as well. At Ninja Buses, we try to have as wide a variety of options available to you so that you can choose the perfect bus for your party. We've done a pretty good job, if we do say so ourselves! Find out how we can accommodate your bachelor party plans with style! The main reason people book a party bus for their method of travel is quite simple: it acts as your designated driver and you are able to drink while you're on it. Yes, you read that right. You can drink on a party bus. This may come as a surprise to you, especially since we've already covered many of the standard rules of party buses, but while you are still able to drink on a party bus, there are still some rules that should be followed. Can I Drink on a Party Bus?One of the first things people think about when renting a party bus in Texas is the Open Container Law (Texas State Penal Code Section 49.031). According to that law, it is illegal to "knowingly possess an open container in a passenger area of a motor vehicle on a public highway, regardless of whether the vehicle is moving or parked." Luckily for you, passenger vehicles like party buses are excluded from this law, as are limousines, charter buses and taxicabs! So drink (responsibly) away! What Are Party Bus Companies' Drinking Regulations? While you are allowed to drink on a party bus, the driver is not. Shocking, right? But seeing as how that driver is responsible for the safety of you and your guests, that's probably a good thing. Similarly, unless the party bus company has gone through the proper channels (those in Texas must secure a Passenger Bus Permit through the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission), it is illegal for them to provide or sell alcohol to anyone on board. As such, you will find that most party bus companies will provide a cooler with ice water and empty drink vessels on their trips. Many party bus companies will restrict anyone under the age of 21 from boarding their vehicles, but if they don't, they will likely have a line item in their contract stating that they will not allow minors to drink alcohol. If they witness such an act, your trip will likely be over and you will not receive a refund. To prevent cases like that, some companies may prevent alcoholic beverages on board for the duration of your trip. When it comes to behavior, it is important to remember that while the party bus company will hold you accountable for your own behavior, the law might view the driver as responsible instead. This doesn't mean that the driver is there to act as the "fun police," but they are there to make sure that everyone is safe. If someone in your party begins acting unruly, the driver may take them to a safe dropoff point and ask them to vacate the bus. Tips for Drinking on a Party BusWhen it comes to tips for drinking on a party bus, it all boils down to common sense, but here are a few helpful tips to see you through your trip: 1. Read the terms of alcohol consumption in your party bus rental contract. 2. Bring your ID. 3. Drink lots of water. 4. Respect your driver. You should have fun, but you shouldn't act too rowdy. 5. And, most importantly, don't forget to B.Y.O.B.! Why Should You Choose Ninja Buses for Your Bachelor Party? When it comes to having fun, no one has your back more than Ninja Buses. While we enforce many of the rules listed in the above sections (and our general rules article), we are not here to kill your buzz.
For a complete list of Ninja Buses' rates, simply visit their website here. Now that we've covered the rates of party buses, it's time to go into the somewhat less fun aspect of party bus rules. After all, what dampens the party vibe more than a bunch of strict rules? The fact of the matter is that all of the rules implemented by party bus companies are there to help keep you and your guests safe. Party bus companies want you to have fun, but they also want to make sure you and your friends don't hurt yourselves in the process. There are a plethora of rules you may come across during your party bus hunt, but let's do a quick review of some of the more common rules you will see. General RulesGeneral rules are the rules that fall into the "common sense" category of partying on a bus. Basically, these are rules that shouldn't have to be stated, but they are anyway. Not adhering to these rules will usually result in the immediate cancellation of your trip, sometimes without a refund. Some examples of general party bus rules that you will most likely come across during your search are:
Some other general rules might not be so obvious. Some companies may restrict the use of glitter or confetti in their buses since party favors like those tend to be a hassle to clean up at the end of a drive. Others might prevent kegs from being used on the bus or include a rule stating that the driver has the right to deny anyone entry on to the party bus. These rules vary from company to company so you should make sure you read your contract carefully. If you have any questions about them, don't hesitate to ask your salesperson as they almost always have a reason for enforcing all of their rules. That reason will usually be based on a previous negative experience with a customer. Safety RulesSafety should be the number one priority of the party bus company you select. Having fun should be the second. This may seem counter-productive to your goal of having a fun time, but you have to remember that your life is in the hands of your driver. A driver should always prioritize the safety of his passengers over anything else. In 2017, buses were involved in 3,017 crashes in the state of Texas. 17 of those crashes involved fatalities and 60 of those crashes involved serious injuries. When researching party bus companies, you want to be sure that they only employ CDL (Commercial Drivers License)-holding drivers. This is not only because it is illegal for anyone other than a CDL-holding driver to operate a bus, but also because those drivers know how to inspect the vehicle they are driving before they take it out on the road. This necessary pre-trip inspection isn't something required of drivers carrying a regular drivers license. With a CDL-holding driver operating your party bus, you know you are in good hands. For passengers, the most common safety rule is to avoid moving around the vehicle while it is in motion. Again, this is something that should be fairly obvious, but you would be surprised at how many people like to walk around the bus while it is going 60mph down the highway. Rental RulesNow comes the fun part. What are the rules when reserving a party bus? Every party bus company will have different rules, but usually, these rules are in place to ensure that the company is able to stay in business. You will want to carefully review this section of your contract before you book with a party bus company. Of course, you should carefully read the entire contract before you book with a party bus company, but the reservation rules will be particularly important since they pertain to your deposit and the company's cancellation fee. Most party bus companies will require some sort of deposit (usually non-refundable) when reserving one of their buses. This deposit is usually to cover overhead costs for the company. You see, when you make a reservation, the company is unable to book the bus you choose to another party during your time block (and, in some cases, for the whole day/night). If you cancel at the last minute, it is unlikely that the company will be able to re-book the bus for the date you canceled. A non-refundable deposit is essentially a show of confidence that you will keep your end of the bargain in the exchange of services. Another thing to consider is the possible reasons for delays or cancellations that are out of the control of both the renter and the party bus company. Factors could include weather, mechanical issues and traffic conditions. Usually, in the case of things like that, the party bus company isn't liable and thus the customer is not entitled to a refund. There will usually be a line item for these types of instances in your contract. Ninja Buses RulesNinja Buses enforces pretty much all of the rules contained within this blog post, but you can see all of our rules in our Rental Contract. Simply fill out the Reservation Form to be sent a copy of that contract! Suggestions for RentersAll of the information on party bus rules included in this article will assist you when you are booking a party bus, but here are some additional suggestions to keep in mind when doing your research:
Ninja Buses will always bring top level, CDL-holding drivers and committed to safety to your bachelor party, so all you have to worry about is how good a time you want to have. Do you want to have the best bachelor party bus in Austin, Texas, but are unsure about rental options or the rates? Or are you unsure that a party bus is even the best option for your bachelor/bachelorette party? With a party bus, you are guaranteed to have the ultimate bachelor party experience that can't be replicated using a traditional rideshare service. You can plan a route yourself or, if you're from out of town and aren't sure of the hot spots in the area, a party bus company can help you plan a route based on your interests. The first thing that comes to mind when booking a party bus, however, is cost. What's Included in A Party Bus Rental?Party bus companies include a variety of amenities that are making them the most attractive transportation options available. Not only will you get one amazing party bus driven by a CDL (Commercial Drivers License)-holding driver to keep your group safe and sound, but you'll usually get:
Some companies even have a group host as an add-on. A host's job is to cater to your group throughout the night, keeping you entertained while also tidying up the bus a bit during stops. Why Party Bus?Due to the higher cost, many people may opt to use traditional rideshare services for their big night out, but we have learned that the party bus route is the way to go. Why is that? Well, it's the only way to ensure that your entire group stays together! Plus, party buses are BYOB, which means you have plenty of time to pre-game before reaching your destination and drinking (responsibly) between stops. Booking a party bus also ensures that you always have a private place to relax as well. Have you ever tried booking an Uber in downtown Austin on a Saturday night? It can be quite chaotic, especially if you are trying to visit several different locations! Not only will you have different drivers at each stop, but you won't have a secure place to store your belongings. With a party bus, you will have one dedicated and assured driver at every stop, along with a safe place to store your belongings. This makes for a more comfortable and convenient experience for your bachelor party. Factors That Affect PricingThere are two main factors that can affect party bus rates, the most important of which is time. Most party bus companies charge by the hour! To get the most out of your booking, it is important that your whole group be ready at the agreed-upon pick-up time so your party isn't delayed. While some companies are usually able to accommodate last-minute trip extensions, that isn't always the case. Each company handles their scheduling differently, but if you schedule an 8-hour block beginning at noon one day, it would be reasonable to expect that the vehicle you have booked has another trip scheduled at 9 pm that night. The second factor affecting party bus rates is the service charge, which is anywhere from 10% to 20% of your subtotal. There will usually be a line item on your invoice for something like this, but you will want to check and see what exactly that covers. Usually, it is to cover fuel costs and routine maintenance, but some companies include the gratuity in that line items as well. It is important to see what that fee covers so you know if you need to tip your driver at the end of your trip! Standard Austin Party Bus RatesParty buses are usually rented by the hour, and rates can vary from anywhere between $50 per hour to $300 per hour, depending on the company and the chosen vehicle.
For example, the Austin-based party bus company Ninja Buses has six vehicles that usually* range in price from $125 per hour to $270 per hour. These fees are a flat rate and don't change no matter where you are going and no matter the time of day/night your trip is taking place! That flexibility is something that sets them apart from other party bus companies in Austin because many of them have higher rates for weekend trips or trips that take place at night. For a complete list of Ninja Buses' rates, simply visit their website here. *Austin is a popular city with many special events that take place throughout the year. Because of this, there will be some dates that have excessive demands, thus increasing rates. Important events to remember are SXSW (usually during Spring Break every March), Austin City Limits (the first two weekends of October) and F1 (the last weekend of October). |
