Party on Safely! Simple Do's and Don'ts on a Party Bus

9/20/2018

Some rules were made to be broken. At Ninja Buses, we believe that traditional bachelor party planning rules could use some shock therapy. How you arrive at a particular restaurant, nightclub or venue should be (at least close to) as exciting as the establishments themselves. That is why we put so much care and attention into your transportation experience, so no opportunity for fun goes overlooked.

That being said, some party do's and don'ts were designed to keep the fun from turning into dangerous or unpleasant situations for you and your party. We've covered this a little bit last month when we discussed the rules of a party bus, but that article mostly pertained to what you should do when looking for a party bus company. In this article, we're going to focus on what you should and shouldn't do while you are actually on the party bus.

Do's

  1. Do bring cash in case any of your requested stops charge parking fees.
  2. Do tip your driver (or check to see if gratuity is included in your booking payment).
  3. Do check to see which bathroom activities can be done in your bus' toilet (if it is equipped with one).
  4. Do bring your own food and alcohol (don't forget coolers!).
  5. Do listen to your driver. He or she is the ultimate authority on the party bus.
  6. Do clean up after yourself. The driver should also be cleaning between stops and he or she will clean at the end of the night, but the party bus company provides trash receptacles on the bus for a reason.
  7. Do have an itinerary. The driver has to know where he or she is taking you!
  8. Do make sure you grab all of your valuables before leaving the party bus at any time.
  9. Do keep a headcount of your guests. You don't want to leave anyone behind!
  10. Do keep a cell phone on you and make sure you get the driver's phone number! He or she will be waiting for you between stops but won't always be able to park in a visible spot.

Dont's

You'd think that the don'ts would be fairly obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many people think they can get away with anything while inside a party bus. A party bus company isn't trying to act as the "fun police," but their first job is to keep everyone on board the bus as safe as possible, and that is where many of these "don'ts" come from (well, that and bus upkeep). While uncommon, accidents in party buses can happen, but if you follow the rules set forth by the party bus company then the odds of an accident actually happening are slim to none. Here are 10 simple rules of what to avoid doing while on a party bus:
  1. Don't bring any weapons on board the party bus.
  2. Don't smoke on the party bus.
  3. Don't bring any illegal drugs on the party bus.
  4. Don't tamper with any electronics or accessories on the party bus.
  5. Don't distract the driver while he or she is driving the bus.
  6. Don't allow minors to drink alcohol.
  7. Don't hang out of the windows.
  8. Don't open the emergency doors or roof hatches (unless it's actually an emergency).
  9. Don't fight with other passengers on the bus.
  10. Don't mistreat the party bus. Treat it as if it were your own.

Why Use Ninja Buses Services?

At the end of the day, people are going to party on a party bus. We get that! It's part of the business. Our goal here at Ninja Buses is to ensure that you have the absolute best party bus experience imaginable, albeit in a safe way. The "don'ts" are all fairly standard rules that you'll find at most party bus companies, but we don't enforce them to be mean. We just want to keep everyone safe. We will do just that when you book a bus with us! We want to make your trip as fun as possible so that you hardly have to do any work (We won't even make you look up our DOT status. You can see it right here!).

How to Choose The Right Size Party Bus for Your Event

9/17/2018

We've discussed how to pick the party bus that is right for you based on its look and amenities, but what about making sure it's the right size? After all, you need to make sure you can fit everyone inside the bus! Let's talk about the different party bus sizes you'll come across in your hunt for the perfect party bus.

What Factors Affect The Needed Party Bus Sizes?

1. Number of People
The most important thing to consider when choosing a party bus size is the number of people in your group. If you've ever planned a party, then you know that this is not as easy as it sounds. People can flake at the last minute.

Sometimes people don't RSVP until the day of the party. It's pandemonium!

A good rule of thumb is to get as many RSVPs as you can and then expect about three more people than that to show up on the day of the party. If they don't show up, then you've got extra space. If they do, then you'll be glad you considered it!

2. Amenities
This is the one thing that everyone forgets about. Yes, you could be bringing 20 or 30 people on the party bus, but what items will all of you be bringing? Will everyone be bringing their own cooler?

If so, you've got to make sure you have plenty of extra space on the bus.

What about games? Or food containers?

Think about all of the items that everyone will be bringing with them and make sure you book a bus with enough space for that.

3. Needed Space
Finally, you've got to consider the space that all of your guests need.

A bus that has a capacity for 30 people may mean that the people are sitting shoulder-to-shoulder. This doesn't mean that they're being packed in the bus like a bunch of sardines, but it does mean that there won't be a ton of space to move around.

As terrible as it sounds, you'll also want to consider the sizes of your guests. If anyone is on the larger side of the spectrum, then you may want to consider the airplane rule and consider them as two passengers.

How to Choose The Right Party Bus Size

If you want to choose the right party bus size, all you have to do is carefully consider the three things listed above, and remember:
  • Yes, a bigger bus is usually going to be more expensive, but when you consider the fact that you're (ideally) splitting the cost between 20(ish) people, it really evens out.
  • It's always better to get a bus that's a little bigger than the one you need so that everyone is comfortable.

Ninja Bus Sizes

At Ninja Buses, we offer a wide variety of bus sizes and styles to fit your group. The style is an important thing to consider because it does directly impact the capacity of the bus:

1. Shuttle
Our smallest and most economical vehicle is the shuttle bus. It has a maximum capacity of 16 people.
Due to its more conventional interior, this bus is perfect for smaller groups merely looking for a mode of transportation to get from one place to the next.

2. Tour Bus
Despite being the largest vehicle in our fleet, our John Denver tour bus Calypso can "only" hold up to 26 passengers.

That is still a lot, and it's filled with many more amenities than the other buses, including a wet bar, sofas, a restroom, etc.

3. School Bus
We know, a party isn't necessarily what comes to mind when you think of a school bus, but hear us out: with completely refurbished interiors and electronic upgrades, a school bus makes for the perfect party bus.

With the party bus seating (bench-style and facing each other), you're able to fit up to 30 people in one of these bad boys.

4. City Bus
Now for the big guy: the Urban Force city bus.

Formerly a Cap Metro transit vehicle, the Urban Force has 30 seats in it but also has plenty of standing room for extra guests (just like a city bus).

This bus is great for those really large groups, not only because of the excess space but also because it has the best air conditioning out of all of our buses, an absolute necessity in the summer!

Take a look at all the vehicles of Ninja Buses by visiting our website and book your party bus today!

Is a Limousine Service Austin's Best Option for Your Bachelor Party?

9/13/2018

The most important thing to consider when planning your bachelor or bachelorette party is transportation, especially if you plan on making multiple stops throughout the day/night. After all, if you don't have transportation, how are you going to get to where you need to go? Everyone's go-to desire for a night on the town is a limousine, but just what does a limousine entail? We are going to take a look at the inner workings of limousines in this article.

When Should You Take a Limousine?

There are all sorts of occasions that you might want to rent a limousine. Some of these occasions include but are not limited to bachelor/bachelorette parties, weddings, proms, quinceañeras or a simple night out on the town. Don't forget about birthdays, anniversaries, etc. There are all sorts of occasions that call for the rental of a limousine.

Limousines are commonly associated with high-end events, though this isn't necessarily the case. Sure, celebrities use them to take them to red carpet events, but 18-year-olds also take them to their senior prom. In truth, you could take a limousine to work in the mornings if you would like to, but most people don't do this because it would cause them to go bankrupt. All we're trying to say is, limousines are the most common mode of transportation to use during celebrations. While they used to be associated with high-end clientele, that isn't really the way it is anymore. The business has become more all-inclusive and affordable, especially when you factor in splitting the bill between all members of your party.

Common Types of Limousines in Austin

There are a plethora of types of limousines in the Austin area, but most of the differences pertain to the exterior of the vehicle. From the stock limousine to a hummer limousine to a Cadillac Escalade limousine, they all offer pretty much the same thing: a larger vehicle capable of transporting larger groups of people with a high-end atmosphere. People rent limousines because they want to feel fancy.

Limousines have pretty distinctive features (meaning: you can tell it's a limousine just from a picture of the interior). Other than the obvious (a really long space to sit in), you've got your leather interiors, your wet bar, your champagne chilling area, your glass holders, your divider window, your colored lights and your sound system.

Rates for limousines vary by company, but some can be as low as $60 an hour and some can be as high as $200 per hour. Surprisingly, there isn't a huge difference between these companies other than the levels of service that they provide. Some of the more expensive places may offer a few extra perks, but if you're just trying to get from point A to point B, one of the less expensive options will suffice. It really just depends on what you are doing and the type of party you are trying to have.

Can You Have a Bachelor Party In a Limousine?

If you have a group of 10 or fewer people, you can absolutely have a bachelor party in a limousine. Some companies offer stretch limousines that can fit up to 20 people. It is relatively easy to choose the ride that is the best fit for your group since you simply have to check the capacity of each vehicle.

Let's talk about practicality, though. If you've got 10 guys in your bachelor party and one limousine to split between all of you, it's probably going to be a little cramped. Limousines are essentially long cars, but because they are so low to the ground, it can start to feel a bit cramped the more people you have in your group.

Other Options Besides Limousines

We don't mean to beat a dead horse, but if you've got a larger group of people and want more space to move around the vehicle, then a party bus is your best option. The atmosphere is totally different inside a party bus, too. While many limousine rental companies are getting into the party bus business, you will find that they are a bit more upscale than what you would envision a party bus to be. Some party bus companies include a stripper pole, which isn't something you're going to find in a limousine. You'll also find more variety in the fleet of a party bus company. Party buses can come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and features. Most limousines lack that variety.

Lastly, party buses are used to working around the clock, so they are more capable of accommodating last-minute requests. A lot of party bus companies will even accommodate day-of requests on weekends! This is something that a limousine rental company isn't likely to do.

Lastly, a party bus is just that: a party. Think of it as a nightclub on wheels. Because of their extensive space, party buses are perfect for large groups who want to actually have a party on the bus. This is something you're not able to do in a limousine since the space is more limited. When people think of a limousine they think of it as a mode of transportation. A party bus doubles as a mode of transportation and a venue. That's the main difference.

Other than party buses and limousines, you can always split your group up into a few Ubers (or other rideshare service vehicles). If your stops are all within a mile of each other, you could split your group up into a few pedicabs. Or you could actually take a few taxi cabs (though the public transportations system isn't exactly on the same level as that of New York City). All of these options include the same phrase: splitting up. Ultimately, the final choice is yours, but we're guessing you'd like to keep everyone together during your big celebration, right?

If our assumption is correct, then contact Ninja Buses today to book a party bus for your celebration!

Want to Improve Your Bachelor Party? Try a Party Bus!

9/10/2018

If you are going to celebrate your bachelor/bachelorette party with your friends, you are going to need a cost-effective mode of transportation that keeps everyone together. Whether you're going bar-hopping, going on a winery tour or a brewery tour, or just wanting to explore the city, a party bus is your best option that is sure to be enjoyed by every member of your party.

What Is a Party Bus?

Technically speaking, a party bus is a large motor vehicle that has been modified or upgraded to hold anywhere from 10-40 people for recreational purposes. What that definition doesn't tell you is that a party bus is basically a bigger, badder version of a limousine with plenty of space for you and your friends to move around in. Think of it as a nightclub on wheels.

You might think that, other than capacity limitations, a party bus and a limousine are essentially the same. You would be correct, but what a limousine doesn't offer is the chance to ride around in style. People see limousines everywhere, but a party bus truly makes an impression when it's driving around the city.

You also have the option to simply stay in your party bus all night. The extra space helps with this, as it's not likely that you'll want to be cooped up in a limousine all night. A party bus gives you the option to actually party on the bus without stopping!

Why Should You Take a Party Bus for Your Bachelor Party?

There are plenty of benefits when you use a party bus for your bachelor party, so let's cover the most important ones, shall we?

The most important perk of a party bus is that you get to keep everyone in your group together. That is something a rideshare service like Uber simply cannot do. If you've got a few people and you're all staying downtown, you can book a few Ubers or ride in a couple of pedicabs, but if you're venturing anywhere that isn't in your area and you've got a larger group, then a party bus really is your best option.

It may seem like splitting a bunch of Ubers will be the more cost-effective option, but it actually evens out a bit more than you may think, especially when you take multiple stops into account. For smaller groups, a rideshare service works perfectly, since you can fit everyone in the same vehicle. But if you have 10 or more people in your group, it's better to book a party bus. Not only will you easily be able to keep track of everyone throughout the night, but you'll also ensure that everyone shares in the same experience and doesn't miss out on anything, especially the photo ops!

You also won't run into any parking problems in a party bus. During your bachelor party, your driver will drop you and your group off at each stop and either wait in the parking lot for you or drive around the corner and find a safe place to wait for you and your friends to come back. All party bus drivers will give you their cell phone number so you can let them know when you're ready to be picked up.

We all know it isn't okay to drink and drive, right? In case you didn't know that: IT IS NOT OKAY TO DRINK AND DRIVE. Booking a party bus will save you the hassle of having to worry about a designated driver. Plus, you don't want any of your friends to experience major FOMO (fear of missing out) because they're not able to enjoy your party to the fullest. Booking a party bus is a great way of making this worry go away.

Not only will a party bus prevent any issues with selecting a designated driver, but it will also save you a lot of time during your party. All you have to do is pre-select your destinations and make an itinerary before your trip starts and hand it over to your driver. Then you can just sit back and enjoy the ride while your driver does all the navigation for you!

Ultimately, though, a party bus is all about the experience, and the companies behind the buses know that. You want to be able to spend the whole night celebrating with your friends and not have to worry about the trivial tasks that come with party planning. If you're worrying about those little details all night, then you're not going to have any fun! It's time to hand the reins over to your local party bus company and enjoy your night. Let them do all of the worryings for you!

What is Special About Ninja Buses?

When people think of a party bus, they usually think of a large, black bus with leather interiors, neon lights, a stripper pole and a wet bar. Those people wouldn't be wrong, but that's not exactly what Ninja Buses is. In an effort to differentiate ourselves from the competition, we have opted to do as the Austinites do and get a little weird with our fleet. Our fleet consists of a wide variety of vehicle styles with different interiors. Ranging from school buses to actual Cap Metro City Buses to John Denver's actual tour bus from the 1980s, Ninja Buses offers a party bus experience unlike anything else seen in Austin and we stand by it!

To top things off, our buses look pretty awesome (if we do say so ourselves). Each of our party buses (save for John Denver's tour bus, because we can't bear to alter its appearance) is wrapped in some truly killer Ninja Bus-themed artwork that will be sure to have bystanders gaping in jealousy at your amazing and stylish ride.
If you book with Ninja Buses, you're guaranteed to have the best party bus experience because Ninja Bus drivers are the best in the business! When they are hired, each driver is taken through a training process on how to deliver the "Ninja Bus Experience," so you'll always know that you're in the right hands when you book with us. What is the Ninja Bus Experience? It's simple: deliver the most fun and hassle-free party to our customers. No request is too outlandish for us. If you're wondering if you can do something in Austin, just ask! We'll make it happen.

A Party Bus Tour to Austin's Must-Visit BBQ Spots!

9/5/2018

It's widely known that one of the best bbq spots in the country is Austin, Texas, so if you're planning on a tour to visit the capital of Texas for your bachelor/bachelorette party, you should be sure to stop by a few places during your time here.

Austin BBQ Tour Options

A BBQ tour is a bit different than a winery tour or a brewery tour in that many of the BBQ joints in Austin don't actually provide a tour of their facility. This isn't all that surprising, but it's something to consider when planning your party. A helpful tip? Share meals! If you're visiting 4 BBQ joints (and really, you shouldn't visit more than 4 anyway) then you have the opportunity to eat a lot of food. You don't want to fill up after the first stop!

There are a few BBQ touring companies located in Austin, and while they will pull through in a pinch, they aren't fully necessary. All you really need is some advice on which places to visit (we'll get to that in a moment) and an awesome ride (we'll also get to that in a moment).

Austin is home to so many great BBQ spots. However, will you choose just a few to visit? Allow us to help you out with that!

Top Austin BBQ Destinations

Stubb's Bar-B-Q (Mean-Eyed Cat)

Stubb's is undoubtedly the most well-known BBQ spot in Austin because it doubles as a restaurant and a concert venue. Its location in the heart of downtown Austin doesn't hurt, either. Because of its popularity, the restaurant is usually quite crowded. We recommend making a stop at the Mean-Eyed Cat, a Johnny Cash-themed dive bar located about two miles west of Stubb's. Why is that, you ask? Because the Mean-Eyed Cat also operates as a satellite location of Stubb's. You won't get the complete Stubb's Bar-B-Q menu, but you'll get most of their best options (and avoid the crowds so you're not waiting around too long).

The Salt Lick BBQ
Opened in 1967 by Thurman Roberts, Sr. and his wife Hisako T. Roberts, The Salt Lick is one of the most-visited BBQ spots in Austin. It is so popular, in fact, that it is even home to Thurman's Mansion, a popular wedding venue in the area. The Salt Lick is located in Driftwood, about a 30-minute drive southwest of downtown Austin. Even though it's a bit of a drive (which is the perfect excuse to book a party bus for your transportation), it's totally worth it. Our recommendation? Get the Thurman's Choice Plate. It's a great sampler of the best of their menu: brisket, pork ribs and sausage, with the standard sides of coleslaw, beans and their one-of-a-kind potato salad. Just don't forget to bring cash! The Salt Lick is a cash-only operation.

Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew
Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew is the perfect place to kill two birds with one stone, in that they have one of the best beer menus out of all the BBQ spots in Austin. Named after the historic 1800s I. & G. N. railroad stop Stiles Switch, Texas (and owner Shane Stiles), Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew is located in North Austin near Highland Village. Come for the BBQ (the brisket is among the best Austin has to offer), but stay for their curated craft beer menu!

Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que
Cooper's BBQ has long been a Texas staple but only just recently opened up a location in Austin back in 2016. With three other locations in Llano, New Braunfels and Fort Worth, Cooper's occupies the 200 block of Congress Avenue in downtown Austin. Cooper's offers some of the largest portions out of all of the BBQ spots in Austin, but what really helps Cooper's stand out among the pack is its live music stage, roof-top garden and oak-shaded back patio (we take our oak trees seriously here in Austin). And whatever you do, don't miss out on the apple cobbler!

La Barbecue
Austin's self-proclaimed "bitchin' barbecue" spot is one of the newer BBQ hot spots in the city, but that doesn't mean it's inexperienced. La Barbecue is quickly becoming one of the must-visit spots on every BBQ tour list. Located on the east side, La Barbecue consists of a small trailer with some picnic tables housed under some oak trees (See? We love our oak trees). The line is usually long but it moves at a pretty fast rate. Another perk? La Barbecue provides free beer to everyone waiting in line on the weekends!

You're probably thinking "But what about Franklin's BBQ?" While it's true that Franklin BBQ has some of the best BBQ in Austin, the establishment is also notorious for its long wait times, but their pre-orders must be to-go orders. If you want to chance it and wait in line to eat inside, you're welcome to give it a shot (but don't say we didn't warn you).

Offers From Ninja Buses

As we have mentioned in our previous articles: you need a mode of transportation to get from place to place! Sure, you could stay somewhere downtown and walk from place to place, but you'll miss out on some of the best BBQ outside of downtown (and yes, there are things outside of downtown Austin). Which mode of transportation should you use, though? Call us biased, but we say to use a party bus! Not only does a party bus keep your group together for the day/night, but it also lends itself to a party atmosphere. If you're using the weekend to spend time with your best friends, do you want to be split up between a bunch of Ubers? Or would you rather party in style and stick together on the ride between BBQ stops? The answer is obvious.

Distillery Tours: A Tasty Start to Your Bachelor Party

8/31/2018

Now that we've covered winery tours and brewery tours, it's time to move on to something for our more hardcore drinkers: distillery tours. If tasting various liquors for four hours sounds like fun (and if you're celebrating a bachelor/bachelorette party, why wouldn't it?), then you've come to the right place! We're here to help you decide which options best suit your needs, and also offer some advice on how to not get too inebriated too early in your celebration. Austin distillery tours have plenty to offer, so you don't want to miss out!

Which Distilleries Should You Visit?

There are a plethora of distilleries to visit in both the Austin and Hill Country areas. It really just depends on what you're wanting to drink! If we may be so bold as to make a few suggestions, though:

Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery
Dripping Springs is sort of the hot place to be in Central Texas right now. Located between Austin and the Hill Country, Dripping Springs is home to some of the best distilleries out there, especially when it comes to vodka. First up is the Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery. What makes this particular venue so great is that it has something for everybody. Famous for their flavored vodkas (Ruby Red Grapefruit, Sweet Tea and Peach are just some of the flavored options), Deep Eddy is a distillery you don't want to miss.

Dripping Springs Vodka, Gin & Bourbon Distillery
Rounding out Dripping Springs is the aptly named Dripping Springs Vodka, Gin and Bourbon Distillery. If we're being quite honest, we're including this one if only because it offers three of the five "Big Liquors," so there's bound to be something for everyone in your group!

Still Austin Whiskey Co.
If you are a fan of housemade liquors, then Still Austin Whiskey Co. is your distillery. Everything is made in-house and 100% locally made from grain to glass, as their website proudly states. This is a great stop to make around lunch time since the Pan-Asian food truck Soursop is in the same parking lot.

Texas Saké Company
If you'd like a break from some of the stronger liquors, give Texas Saké Company a try. It's a nice little palette cleanser from all of the other distillery. If you're staying in Austin, it's also a great place to end your tour since it's located in the South Lamar area in the middle of Austin's busy tourism district.

We're getting ahead of ourselves, though. The first thing you should do when planning a distillery tour is to make a plan. Do some research on the distilleries in the area. Check and see when they are open and what their hours are. If you have a large group, call ahead and make a reservation (if the distillery accepts reservations).

Tips for Distillery Tours in Austin

We've all had it happen before: you day-drink a little too much and by the time it's time to hit the town you're ready to hit the sack. It's easy to avoid this with a winery tour or a brewery tour, but when you're tasting hard liquor all day it all comes down to two things: pacing and moderation.

When you're on a winery or brewery tour, you won't be tasting full glasses of wine or full pints of beer, but you have the option to purchase them. The same thing happens at distilleries, so you'll just want to remember to pace yourself and drink lots of water between stops.

There are two types of tours at a distillery: a distillery tour and a tasting one. A distillery tour will walk you through the process of making the liquor and a tasting tour is, well, a tasting tour. For maximum effect, we recommend visiting 3-4 distilleries and switching between distillery and tasting tours at each stop.

As for how to display good manners in a distillery, it's fairly simple. There are three things you should do to make a good impression at a distillery:

Be on time!
Treat this as you would to any other reservation. If you make one at a distillery, that means they turn down potential business from other reservations to accommodate yours. Be respectful and be on time. This means that when you set a pickup time for your party bus, you need to make sure everyone is on time for that as well. Speaking of: book a party bus for group transportation!

Tip the tasting room staff.
The tasting room staff should be tipped as you would tip a server at a restaurant. They are entertaining you for the time you are there and should be rewarded for that.

Share photos and videos on social media.
Finally, it's important to remember that the best kind of kickback you can give a local distillery is to promote them on social media. Take pictures at each distillery and tag them on social media. It's a great way to show your appreciation.

What Ninja Buses Has to Offer

Ninja Buses visits dozens of distilleries every weekend, so what we can offer you is inside knowledge on the ins and outs of each distillery, carefully guiding you through the selection and planning process.

Bachelor Party Brewery Tours in Austin 101

8/29/2018

So you've got a date set for your bachelor/bachelorette party, but maybe a winery tour isn't the route you want to take. Or maybe you don't want to travel to the Hill Country to drink. If you don't, then you're in luck! Taking Austin, Texas brewery tours is the perfect way to spend the day before your nightly festivities. Think of it as an extended pre-gaming session.

Why Go to Austin, Texas for Your Brewery Tours?

If you still haven't decided on a city for your bachelor party, then you may need some convincing that Austin is the right place for your celebration. Austin is also home to over 30 breweries that you can visit during your big weekend. Of course, it didn't use to be this way, but over the years the industry has seen a rather notable increase in size. It seems like there are new breweries popping up every single day!

One area where the Austin beer scene benefits over the Austin wine scene is the locations. Most of the wineries are relegated to the Hill Country (there are a few in Austin but they're not as densely populated as the breweries).

There are breweries all over the city. No matter which area of Austin you are staying in, there are bound to be a few breweries near you. Be it North Austin, Downtown Austin, the East Side or South Austin, there are a plethora of options for you to choose from.

We are partial to Austin Beerworks and Jester King Brewery, but don't forget the unique breweries like Blue Owl Brewing, which is the nation's first sour mash-only brewery!

Why Do a Brewery Tour For Your Bachelor Party?

Look, we're not saying you should only do a brewery tour for your bachelor party, but you should at least make it one of the various activities you have planned (assuming you followed our suggestion and did plan out your weekend). As mentioned above, doing a brewery tour during the day is a great way to get you in the party mood for that night's festivities.

Whether you're a beer aficionado or a novice, a brewery tour is always fun. Not only do you get to learn about the beer you are drinking, but you're also able to try things you may not have tried in a bar or restaurant setting. We've found that tours like these are the best way to get yourself to try new things. You've already paid for the tour, so what's the harm?

Why is a Party Bus Your Best Option?

Finally, a party bus is the best option for your brewery tour, if only because it keeps your entire group together so that you don't have to rent a bunch of Ubers to cart all of you around. You could choose to book with a company that deals exclusively with brewery tours in Austin Texas, but the downside to that is once the tour is over you are done.

With a party bus, you can opt to keep the party bus throughout the night and have it take you wherever you need to go. There also won't be any extra charges for a private tour since all party bus rentals are private.

Plus, there will be plenty of space on a party bus to bring some alcohol of your own. Most party buses are equipped with superior stereo systems and flat-screen TVs as well, which aren't things you're likely to find in a brewery tour company.

One thing you definitely want to remember when booking a party bus for your brewery tour is this: find out who is responsible for making reservations at each brewery. Most breweries accept smaller groups on a walk-in basis, but they require advance notice for the larger groups. Some party bus companies will arrange all of this for you, but others will not. Make sure you know if you are responsible for making reservations at the breweries.

When it comes to financial planning, it's the easiest way to make sure everyone knows how much money they have to spend on travel (and they can pay in advance!). When you're planning a bachelor party, the only extra expenses you should have to worry about are food and drinks. Don't make travel a variable cost. Get it locked down in advance so you don't have to worry about it! This will save you from any awkward moments with your friends when it comes to collecting cash at the end of the trip.

Take a Wine Tour in Your Bachelor Party? Why Not?

8/23/2018

Taking wine tours isn't exactly the first activity that comes to mind when you think of a bachelor party, but hear me out. If you've got a full weekend planned (which you most definitely should), a wine tour is a perfect breather between those typical bachelor party activities in Austin Texas.

How Can Your Bachelor Party Be Different with a Wine Tour?

Wine bachelor (or bachelorette) parties are on the rise. There are plenty of ways to drink on the big night/weekend, so why not mix it up a little bit?

Austin has emerged as one of the prime go-to destinations for bachelor and bachelorette parties, but if you want to get out of the city for just a bit, a wine tour is a perfect way to do that. You can get a ride out during lunchtime and be back in the later afternoon before the
real festivities begin.

What is Special About Wine Tours in Austin, Texas?

When most people think about the best wineries in the country, Texas isn't a location that immediately springs to mind. The big spots are Napa, Willamette Valley and Sonoma. Don't underestimate the Texas Hill Country, though. Just about an hour-long drive from downtown Austin sits over 70 wineries for your visiting (and tasting) pleasure.

This region has emerged as the center of the Texas Wine Industry, and for good reason. It's quickly growing to be known as one of the best wine regions in the world! This may come as a surprise, considering that Texas has to fight many odd weather challenges (hail, intense heat, late spring frosts, etc.), but those conditions are what have made Texas wine so unique among all other wines.

The wineries in the Texas Hill Country all offer tastings for a nominal fee, especially when compared to some of the wineries in the more popular regions of the world.
Also a plus? The wineries in Texas are a little more experimental than most other established wineries in the popular regions. So you're likely to taste something unlike anything else you've tasted before.
Another unique aspect of Hill Country wineries is that many of them opt to sell directly to consumers as opposed to going into distribution. You won't be able to find many of these wines in your local grocery stores.

Wine tours in the Texas Hill Country aren't only about the wine, either. On the drive out to the Hill Country, you're bound to be amazed by all of the sites, especially if you visit some of the wineries in Fredericksburg, a small town noted for its Main Street Shopping District.

Why is a Party Bus the Suitable Option For You?

There are many wine tour companies in the Austin area, but usually, their default rates are per person and are for non-private tours (meaning you will be joined by a few other groups of people). If they do happen to offer private tours, the rates for those will be higher than the non-private ones.

With a party bus company, your tour will always be private and it will not be charged at a higher rate since party bus bookings are private. Because many of these touring companies have smaller vehicles, they also have a limit on how many people can be on a bus at one time.

If you book a party bus, then you can have up to 30 people in your group altogether. Most party bus companies charge by the hour, as opposed to the passenger quantity, so in the end, you'll save a lot more money by booking a party bus.
If you have a smaller group, then a wine touring company is probably your best option, but if you have more than 10 people, then a party bus is the way to go.

Do you know that party buses come equipped with superior sound systems and TVs for your viewing pleasure? Most vehicles used by touring companies will be large vans or trucks that do not come equipped with amenities such as these. Plus, with a party bus, you are free to move about and avoid the cramped spaces of vans. It's called a party bus for a reason!

One final benefit of booking a party bus for your wine tour is that you can choose any wineries you want to visit. Most wine tour companies have established relationships with certain wineries and thus have pre-selected routes for you to take. If you book a party bus company, you're in control!

To recap, here are the major differences between using a party bus and a touring company for your wine tour:
Touring Company
  • Rates are Charged Per Person
  • Smaller Vehicles and Smaller Capacity
  • Different Rates are Charged for Private Tours
  • Complimentary Snacks and Cracker/Cheese Trays
  • Pre-Set Winery Routes

Party Bus Company
  • Rates are Charged By the Hour
  • Larger Vehicles and Larger Capacity
  • Prices are Usually for Private Bookings
  • B.Y.O.B.
  • You Can Select Your Own Wine Route

When planning your friend's bachelor/bachelorette party, don't let standard touring companies put a limit on your imagination or your fun. Ninja Buses offers knowledgeable planning guidance and a one-of-a-kind party bus experience.

Bachelor Party Bus Rental Tips from the Austin Experts

8/22/2018

If you've never done it before, booking a party bus can be a somewhat nerve-wracking process. What are the rules? What do I need to look out for? Why is it so expensive? Are you getting ripped off? It doesn't have to be, though. We want to make the process as painless as possible. So how do you rent a party bus? Let's find out.

Tips for Renting a Party Bus

Renting a party bus is a relatively simple procedure, but there are still a few things that you'll want to make sure you do when going through the process. This ultimately boils down to one thing: know as much information beforehand so that there are less unknown variables when making a reservation.

The five main things you will want to know are:
     1. Guest count. While most party bus companies charge by the hour, some charge per passenger. Even if they do charge by the hour, you'll want to know your guest count to ensure you pick the right size bus.

       2. Time length. Remember that you're paying by the hour. When letting your party bus representative know how long you would like to book the bus for, be sure to give yourself plenty of time and account for drive times between stops.

    3. The rules. Read the rental agreement/contract! You will see many of the same stipulations shared between party bus companies' contracts, but many have their own special rules as well. It is important to read this document thoroughly, especially when dealing with a busload of inebriated passengers.

       4. The fees. It's okay to ask about any extra fees. Most party bus companies include a service charge that is a percentage of your subtotal, but you want to make sure you know exactly what that fee covers.

       5. The itinerary. This is the one thing most people forget about when reserving a party bus. You know you want to ride in one, but where do you want to go?

Procedure for Renting a Party Bus

It may seem like a simple task, but you'd be surprised how many people don't understand how booking a party bus works. Knowing that, we've put together a step-by-step procedure that most party bus companies follow when making reservations. That procedure is comprised of seven easy steps:
  1. Finalize your date and guest count.
  2. If you have an itinerary in mind, get that finalized as well, but most of the time your representative at the party bus company will be able to help you plan your outing.
  3. Call the party bus company or fill out a website form (the latter of which is the most helpful since it usually includes all of the information you need to know before booking). If you don't know all the details, that's okay! Just fill out what you can.
  4. Review the quote that is sent to you and ask any questions you may have. Don't be shy!
  5. Book your party bus and time slot with a deposit.
  6. Pay the remaining balance when it is due (the due date varies depending on the party bus company).
  7. Have fun!

When you're following this procedure, use the tips we listed above, and be sure to brush up on the rates of party buses and the rules of party buses. Remember, you can never be too informed.

We've Planned It All! What to Consider When Planning A Bachelor Party in Austin, Texas

8/21/2018

Austin, Texas is the perfect city for planning the "perfect" bachelor party, but what exactly does that mean?
It means that everything goes off without a hitch.

Austin, Texas offers an endless selection of bachelor and bachelorette activity options, and that is why planning is so important!

Here we will look at what it takes to plan a memorable bachelor party in and around beautiful Austin, Texas.

Why Is Planning a Bachelor Party Important?

Let's assume that the person planning the bachelor party is either the best friend or a relative of the groom-to-be(no groom should ever have to plan his own bachelor party).

When planning a night out with a group of friends, there's usually valuable time wasted trying to determine where everyone should go.

Austin, Texas in particular, with its nightlife, its wine and brewery tours, and its live music, can create indecisiveness if plans are not nailed down ahead of time.  But if you plan ahead, you can't go wrong no matter what you choose to do in this exciting city!

What Aspects Should You Consider?

First, lock down the date and length of the party. Is this going to be a destination bachelor party? Will it take place over a whole week, a weekend, or just one night? It is impossible to plan the party without knowing how much time you're working with and where you're going.

When that is settled, it's time to select a party bus, this "How to" guide will help you consider every bachelor party planning factor.

Finally, it is time to plan the itinerary.

So what does the groom-to-be like to do?

If he's not into sports, nix the sports bars. If he loves dancing, start thinking about the most exciting dance clubs (there are more than a few in Austin!). Simply put: keep the groom in mind throughout the planning process.

Next, pick locations and decide how long you're going to stay at each stop. Since you're already spending the money on a party bus, set aside some time to actually enjoy it, especially if most of your scheduled stops are in close proximity to one another.

Night rides around the beautiful city of Austin, Texas on the ultimate party bus can really take the whole experience up a level.

Another key to successful bachelor party planning is remembering the little details that most people tend to forget during a wild bachelor party weekend...like hangovers.

Make sure you leave enough time in the morning for everyone to get over their hangover, or make sure you rent a bus with a sofa or a bed so that some of your group can recover while you're on the road.

Once everything is in place and you are sure your bro or sis will have the time of their lives, enjoy the ride and have fun!
