Party on Safely! Simple Do's and Don'ts on a Party Bus

9/20/2018

Some rules were made to be broken. At Ninja Buses, we believe that traditional bachelor party planning rules could use some shock therapy. How you arrive at a particular restaurant, nightclub or venue should be (at least close to) as exciting as the establishments themselves. That is why we put so much care and attention into your transportation experience, so no opportunity for fun goes overlooked.

That being said, some party do's and don'ts were designed to keep the fun from turning into dangerous or unpleasant situations for you and your party. We've covered this a little bit last month when we discussed the rules of a party bus, but that article mostly pertained to what you should do when looking for a party bus company. In this article, we're going to focus on what you should and shouldn't do while you are actually on the party bus.

Do's

  1. Do bring cash in case any of your requested stops charge parking fees.
  2. Do tip your driver (or check to see if gratuity is included in your booking payment).
  3. Do check to see which bathroom activities can be done in your bus' toilet (if it is equipped with one).
  4. Do bring your own food and alcohol (don't forget coolers!).
  5. Do listen to your driver. He or she is the ultimate authority on the party bus.
  6. Do clean up after yourself. The driver should also be cleaning between stops and he or she will clean at the end of the night, but the party bus company provides trash receptacles on the bus for a reason.
  7. Do have an itinerary. The driver has to know where he or she is taking you!
  8. Do make sure you grab all of your valuables before leaving the party bus at any time.
  9. Do keep a headcount of your guests. You don't want to leave anyone behind!
  10. Do keep a cell phone on you and make sure you get the driver's phone number! He or she will be waiting for you between stops but won't always be able to park in a visible spot.

Dont's

You'd think that the don'ts would be fairly obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many people think they can get away with anything while inside a party bus. A party bus company isn't trying to act as the "fun police," but their first job is to keep everyone on board the bus as safe as possible, and that is where many of these "don'ts" come from (well, that and bus upkeep). While uncommon, accidents in party buses can happen, but if you follow the rules set forth by the party bus company then the odds of an accident actually happening are slim to none. Here are 10 simple rules of what to avoid doing while on a party bus:
  1. Don't bring any weapons on board the party bus.
  2. Don't smoke on the party bus.
  3. Don't bring any illegal drugs on the party bus.
  4. Don't tamper with any electronics or accessories on the party bus.
  5. Don't distract the driver while he or she is driving the bus.
  6. Don't allow minors to drink alcohol.
  7. Don't hang out of the windows.
  8. Don't open the emergency doors or roof hatches (unless it's actually an emergency).
  9. Don't fight with other passengers on the bus.
  10. Don't mistreat the party bus. Treat it as if it were your own.

Thanks for pointing out that the driver is the one with the most authority in party buses. My best friend will be getting married soon and we would like to have a small bridal shower in order celebrate it. Perhaps doing it in a party bus will be safe enough and we could invite the closest friends we have as well.

One of my nephews has already planned to celebrate her college graduation with her best friends later next weekend. It was genuinely thoughtful of you to inform us about the strict no illegal substance policy in many bus companies to keep their asset clean. I'll make sure she refers to an expert just before she finalizes her reservation really soon.

These are great tips.

To be honest, small tips like this can make or break a night for someone.

You may also want to mention rules regarding smoking or vomiting on the bus and any additional cleanup fees that may be required.

In addition, management of rowdy behavior is a big one. I think it makes managing those situations easier when you explicitly state what will be done beforehand so that everyone is crystal clear what the repercussions of such behavior is for them.

Hope all is well. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks

When it comes to partying on a bus, safety should always be a top priority. Here are some simple do's and don'ts to keep in mind to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:

Do's:

Do follow the rules: Make sure to follow the rules set by the party bus company and the driver. This may include rules around alcohol consumption, smoking, and loud music.

Do wear your seatbelt: Just because you're on a bus doesn't mean you don't need to wear your seatbelt. Make sure to buckle up and encourage others to do the same.

Do keep an eye on your belongings: Keep your personal belongings close to you and don't leave them unattended. This will help prevent theft and ensure that you don't lose anything.

Do be respectful of others: Remember that you're sharing the party bus with other passengers, so be respectful of their space and needs. Avoid getting too rowdy or causing disturbances that could ruin their experience.

Do communicate with the driver: If you have any concerns or issues during the ride, make sure to communicate with the driver. They're there to ensure your safety and can help address any problems that arise.

Don'ts:

Don't bring illegal substances: It should go without saying, but don't bring any illegal substances on the party bus. This can not only put you and others in danger, but also result in legal consequences.

Don't open the emergency exits: The emergency exits on a party bus should only be used in case of an actual emergency. Don't open them for any other reason, as this can be dangerous and cause unnecessary panic.

Don't overcrowd the bus: Make sure to choose a party bus that can comfortably accommodate your group. Don't try to squeeze in more people than the bus can handle, as this can be dangerous and potentially result in injuries.

Don't drink and drive: One of the main benefits of renting a party bus is that you have a designated driver. Don't drink and drive, and make sure to take advantage of the safe transportation provided by the party bus.

Don't damage the bus: Remember that the party bus is not yours, and any damage caused will likely result in additional fees or charges. Be respectful of the bus and its amenities to ensure that everyone can enjoy the ride.

By following these simple do's and don'ts, you can have a safe and enjoyable party bus experience.
