Are Party Buses the best Choice for Party Transportation? Party Bus vs. Limos

2/9/2022

Party Buses Vs. Limousines: The Basics

Party Buses are the next level in making your event fun! They take the privacy, amenities and comfort of a limousine and then step it up with a larger and more entertaining space where you can even dance and keep the party going from stop to stop.

A party bus is essentially a large vehicle filled with amenities that will keep you and your
guests partying all night long. In most cases, you might think of it as a nightclub on wheels.
Depending on your specific bus and rental service, a few of the amenities you can expect are
comfortable luxury seating options, lighting control options, a fully controllable sound system, a large
TV, video games, and some even have onboard bathrooms that you wouldn't find in a Limo.

A party bus isn’t just a way to get from one destination to the next. When you ride in a party bus, you are the destination, and you can take it with you wherever you go. Ninja Buses in Austin, Texas focuses and specializes in creating a continuous experience for your event and is why they are the best reviewed party bus company in Texas.

As is the case with limos, party buses also come in a variety of different sizes so there’s a bus to
suit every need and occasion. Some buses are designed for as few as 2-14 passengers, while
others can fit up to 50 people at once, as well as numerous in-between options. Because Ninja Buses has such a large fleet, they can even host events with hundreds or even thousands of people. Whether you’re
bringing just a few friends, or you want to invite the whole town, there’s a party bus that works for you!

Be aware, however, a party bus will usually come with a higher price tag than a limo. While the price will vary
based on numerous factors, you can expect to pay somewhere between $100 to $250 per hour
compared to around $130 per hour for a Limo. This is primarily due to the increase in the size of the vehicles and the overall amenities available on a party bus. In the case of Ninja Buses, their pricing also
includes driver gratuity, cleaning, and booking fees while many other companies lure you in with
a lower hourly price and then sneak in hidden fees at the end that often make your trip more
expensive.

Additionally, most Limo services are pretty rigid and strict on their time frames and stops as they are primarily focused on the transportation component of your trip, With Ninja Buses, your group has the flexibility to extend the trip or pivot to different destinations depending on the weather or various situations because the  drivers are committed to the overall experience of a group's event and have endless ways we to keep the party going. For example, if you have a lake day planned but thunder storms roll in, your driver can quickly make plans t
o take your group bar hopping or on a Distillery/Brewery tour so your event can still be
amazing no matter what Texas weather throws at you.

THE PROS
As you might expect, there are plenty of amazing reasons to rent a party bus. Here are just a few
of them:

1. Price
Yes, we know we just said party buses are usually more expensive than limos. But consider the
fact that party buses can easily sit twice as many people as a limo, if not more. The large increase
in passengers can significantly offset the slight increase in price. If you’re splitting the cost of your
rental with all your passengers, you’ll easily save money by taking a party bus. For
example, a Limo for 10ppl for 4 hours would be $130 x 4 = $520. That would be $52 per
person not including tip and cleaning charge. For the same service you can ride with Ninja Buses
and invite 10 more people and pricing would be 20ppl for 4 hours and that would be $180 x 4 =
$720 including all charges so the price per person would only be $36!

2. Amenities
The amenities in a party bus easily outweigh those you’ll find in a limo, or in any other vehicle,
for that matter. If you’re looking to have a party while on the move, there’s no better way to do it
than on a party bus. We have state of the art party lights, sound system with Bluetooth that will
blow your clothes off, TV with DVD player and Nintendo loaded with every game imaginable,
fog machine, and AC and Heat. Upgrades coming soon are Satellite TV so you wont miss the big
game, Karaoke Machine, a la cart menu that includes fully stocked bar, catering or snack trays,
gift baskets, decorations pre arranged based on your event, Brand Ambassadors to travel with
your group to help load and unload your supplies that you are bringing on the bus, help with
rounding up your group if you are stopping at multiple destinations, and ability to help you
operate all of our technology on board to maximize your groups experience.

3. More Space
Do you want to take a large group of people along for the ride? Worried there isn’t a vehicle out
there big enough to fit them all? Don’t worry. In a Ninja Party Bus, there’s plenty of room for
everyone. Whether your party consists of 20 people or 50 people, there’s a party bus out there
that will fit your entire crew comfortably.

4. Privacy
As is the case with limos, your party will remain private in the back of a Ninja Party Bus. The
windows are typically tinted, and the driver sits alone, so you don’t feel as though you have an
extra guest at your party. You are encouraged to stand up and dance when safe to do so, drink, or utilize the "utility pole" while your trip in underway, something you certainly couldn't do in a Limo. Ninja Buses can also accommodate groups that want to bring their own live entertainment for those looking for a more adventurous
experience (fees for dancers and tips for entertainment are not included in the price for the party
bus and must be arranged by the person booking the Party Bus)

THE CONS
With this many great reasons to rent a party bus, there can’t possibly be any negatives, right?
Well, there are a few things to remember before you commit to your party bus:

1. Size
Because party buses are so large there are some neighborhoods and event venues that we cannot
access based on clearance or narrow or steep roads. We will always scout locations and come up
with a plan to accommodate at a minimum inconvenience for your group.

2. Traffic
Austin has grown exponentially in size and that has led to congestion on our roadways. Party
Buses are typically 35ft to 40ft long and to make the ride as smooth as possible our expert
drivers are cautious in their driving so you can stand up and party without getting thrown around.
With that in mind our expert sales team will help plan your itinerary to give plenty of time to
make it to your destinations on time based on road conditions and bus speed limitations.

WHAT TYPE OF EVENTS ARE PERFECT FOR RENTING A PARTY BUS?

1. BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTY
For some parties, a limo can be appropriate, but in almost every other case, we think a
Party Bus is the best way to go for a fun night of partying with your favorite group of guys, gals,
or couples. You can get the party started as you travel to your destination, and keep it going no
matter where you travel around town.

2. WEDDINGS
These events could go either way, as some people are looking for a more formal and
sophisticated mood at their wedding, while others want to throw a big party for them and all their
friends to celebrate, dance, and have fun. Depending on which you’re looking for, you should
choose either a Limo or a Party Bus, respectively. Ninja Buses does offer luxury car rentals for a
private ride to and from the venue for the Bride and Groom in either a beautiful classic '57 Chevy or a
2018 Range Rover Velar.

3. HOMECOMING OR PROM
When you’re headed to the most anticipated event of your high school life which method of
transportation is better? It may be most helpful to consider the number of people. If you have a
large group of friends, a party bus might be your best bet. You can also use the dance floor on
the bus to help get everyone in a dancing mood before you even arrive at the real party.

4. BIRTHDAYS
If your party is large and the event is more casual, a party bus is the right way to go. Bring all the
Liquor, Beer, Wine etc on board and let us worry about cleaning up.

5. BOAT PARTIES AND FLOAT TRIPS
Ninja Buses partners with all Marinas on Lake Travis and Lake Austin to provide transportation
to and from your Party Barge Rental and also partners with River Floating Companies on the Comal
and Guadalupe Rivers to bring your group safely to and from your float trip.

6. COMMUNAL TRIPS (Pay Per Seat)
Do you have a smaller group but still want a Party Bus experience? Ninja Buses does
Communal trips to float the river every Saturday and Sunday for $65 per person that includes tube rental and float fee at Texas Tubes. Tickets can be pre-purchased on
www.ninjabuses.com under "Excursions and Occasions" Tickets are per person so whether you
are going alone, as a couple, or a small group you can now travel in Ninja Style with other like
minded floaters for one small ticket price per person. All trips leave from Mean Eyed Cat Bar on
5th and Campbell Downtown across from El Arroyo. Austin FC Soccer Games are priced at
$35 per person leaving Mean Eyed Cat 1 hour before every home game start time. Concerts at
COTA and HEB Center - Avoid that hassle of booking ride shares for your group or risking
drinking and driving, let Ninja Buses get you the next big show on time and safely.

SOON TO COME - Texas BBQ Tours, Hill Country Winery/Distillery Tours, Honkey
Tonk / Dive Bar Tours, and HOPE OUTDOOR GALLERY and GRAFFITI PARK Tour

Myths about Party Buses

6/1/2019

Party buses are a fun and unique group transportation solution to almost any event. Since it's a fairly new industry, there are definitely a few common misunderstandings about what a party bus company has to offer. Here are some common myths held about renting a party bus:

Myth #1 - Party Buses are just for Bachelor and Bachelorettes:
It is true that Austin is a major destination for Bachelor and Bachelorette parties and they do make up a large portion of our guests. We even have a bus called "The Bachelor" ;) The truth is we service a super wide variety of occasions including birthdays, special events, corporate outings, proms, river floating trips, concerts, lake trips, and wine tours to name a few. Fortunately, we find ourselves servicing some of the strangest events you could imagine, which makes our job really interesting!

Myth #2 - Party Buses are just for College Students:
There are some great schools in the Austin area and we absolutely love to host University of Texas students on social outings and float trips. However, this makes up just a portion of our business as we usually see ALL AGES on our party buses. They are truly fun for everyone and we'll even offer a discount if you bring your grandma ;P Ninja Buses has a wide range of vehicles with appropriate options for any group of people.

Myth #3 - Party Buses are not appropriate for kids:
Party Buses are perfect for kids! We have done several birthday party trips for kids and always have a blast. There are lots of activities in town for young Ninjas and it is smart to keep them all together safely.

Myth #4 - Party Buses are always School Buses:
We have a really fun and unique fleet of buses with all kinds of interesting party vehicles that range from tour buses, city buses, vintage party buses, shuttles, and a "Badillac" party car. Expect comfort and ice-cold A/C! Check out our fleet of Austin Party Buses on our website. We have some super awesome school buses too :)

So You Think You Can Drink? Here Are The Best Drinks for A Party Bus!

5/1/2019

One of the primary reasons that people rent a party bus is that they can drink on the road. After all, you're not the one driving, are you? What should you bring, though? A party bus, while spacious, is not as big as a house. Because of that, you've got to be a bit more selective about best drinks to bring (and make sure you account for the space everything you bring will take up).

Best Drinks for a Party Bus Trip

There really isn't a "best drink" for a party bus, but the most common beverage choice is beer. At the end of the day, however, it really depends on what you are celebrating. If you're hosting a tailgate party, then beer is absolutely the way to go. Going on a winery tour? Well, maybe bring some wine! Let's look at the three best drinks to bring on a party bus:

Beer
As we mentioned above, beer is the number one drink of choice on a party bus. Since you'll be drinking for hours on end, you don't want to get too inebriated too early in the trip. Who wants to black out when they've just spent a bunch of money on a party bus? Plus, beer fits the bill for almost any occasion. From brewery tours to a simple night out on the town, beer is king.

Wine
One of the top destinations for party bus groups is a winery. Winery tours, especially those in the Texas Hill Country, are becoming more and more popular for party bus groups. If you're doing a winery tour, you're going to want to stick with drinking wine between drives. Why is that? Well, mixing any type of alcohol that isn't wine with wine is a recipe for a hangover. Keep it simple and bring some wine to your party bus!

Vodka
For a bachelor party, whiskey may be the liquor of choice, but vodka seems to be the most widely-consumed liquor among the masses. Rum is too sweet. Gin is too spicy. Whiskey is too strong. But vodka? Vodka is just right for easy drinking. Now, this can prove to be dangerous, as easy-drinking usually translates to quickly consumed. So drink responsibly, and everyone will have a good time!

What Should You Prepare?

Don't forget, it is illegal for a party bus company to provide you with any liquor unless they have a liquor license, which most party bus companies do not have. So the first thing you should think to prepare is your ice chests.

A good rule of thumb is to bring one ice chest for every four people in your party. If you're bringing a mix of different types of alcohol, try to keep them grouped together in their own separate ice chests.

One thing that people tend to forget is cups! They never forget the booze or the ice, but people always forget cups. So be sure to buy some red solo cups or some plastic wine glasses for your alcohol.

Another good tip? Bring an extra ice chest full of bottled water. If you're going to be drinking for 8+ hours, you're going to want to hydrate!

How Can Ninja Buses Help?

While Ninja Buses cannot provide any alcohol for you, that doesn't mean we can't help you out! After all, we are providing the mode of transportation, aren't we? What we can do is offer you our expertise, which includes recommendations on how to have a good time. Those recommendations can be shared upon booking with us.

Our job is to make that process as easy as possible so you can actually enjoy your trip.

Tips & Tricks for Visiting Gentlemen's Clubs

4/1/2019

What is the first thing that pops into your head when you think of a bachelor party? Most people think of strip clubs. For the sake of class, we're going to refer to them as gentlemen's clubs in this article. It just sounds better, don't you think? So, you want to go to a gentlemen's club for your bachelor party, do you? Good for you! There are quite a few of them peppered around Austin, Texas. So we're here to let you know which ones should be at the top of your list.

Gentlemen's Clubs in Austin

Despite being the capital of Texas, Austin isn't known for its gentlemen's clubs. This isn't to say that there aren't any (or that they aren't good), but the term isn't synonymous with the city. That being said, there are a plethora of options in Austin. Here are just a few of our favorites:

XTC Cabaret
XTC caters a lot to the younger crowd in Austin, Texas. If you're ever in a parking lot for a student housing facility (especially in the Riverside area), you're bound to see flyers for XTC under the windshield wipers of all of the cars. XTC Cabaret is a fully nude gentlemen's club with an affordable cover charge of $30. Did we mention that it's B.Y.O.B?

Rick's Cabaret
Funny story about Rick's Cabaret: the county line between Williamson County and Travis County runs through the property. To avoid falling under Williamson County's regulations, so (supposedly) the owner extended the entrance to make it qualify for jurisdiction under Travis County's regulations. If that is true, then that's some devotion! Also great is their $15 lunch special. Don't miss it!

The Palazio Experience
The Palazio is quickly becoming one of the hottest spots in towns for the male citizens (and visitors) of Austin. Located on the southeast side of town. The Palazio Experience boasts some of the nicest dancers in town. And if you're a group of ladies celebrating your bachelorette party, just have at least one male escort and you can get in, too! Just pay the cover and you can enjoy The Palazio Experience.

The Yellow Rose
We know that the food isn't the reason you go to a gentlemen's club, but hear us out: The Yellow Rose has the best food out of all the gentlemen's clubs in Austin, Texas. Of course, the girls there are all gorgeous and only of the classiest variety. Out of all the gentlemen's clubs in Austin, The Yellow Rose is the place to go if you can only go to one.

Why Go to A Gentlemen's Club in Austin, Texas?

Going to a gentlemen's club for your bachelor party is pretty much a rite of passage for any soon-to-be ex-bachelor! Not only can you enjoy some great food and classy drinks, but you can also enjoy the sight of some beautiful women.

If you're really looking to spend some money, shell out the cash for the VIP area of any gentlemen's clubs. You'll be afforded plenty of extra attention from not only the girls, but also management. It's absolutely worth the extra cost, especially if you want to impress your friends.

Tips for The Best Gentlemen's Club Experience

Some people get nervous when they're in a gentlemen's club, and that's understandable. It's not every place that you have nude women vying for your attention. There are a few things you should know before walking inside a gentlemen's club to ensure that you have the best experience, and they are:
  1. Don't be taken aback by the cost of drinks. Cocktails are more expensive at gentlemen's clubs. Get used to it!
  2. Don't be shy, but don't be overzealous. The girls like it if you're open with them, but don't get handsy.
  3. Do not ask a dancer for her phone number. They are working for tips, not for dates.
  4. Be sure to tip at least one dollar per song if you are sitting around a stage. It's standard gentlemen's club etiquette.
  5. If you want to spend more time with a particular girl, buy her a cocktail!
  6. All gentlemen's clubs are different. If you aren't sure what the rules of touching are, ask your dancer! It's always better to ask than to assume. If she says don't touch, then don't touch.
  7. If you want to make sure you get VIP seating, tip the host at least $20.
  8. Don't take photos or record videos. In most states, this is a Class A Misdemeanor.
  9. Don't trash talk or insult any of the dancers. These women are co-workers and thus most likely a close-knit group. If you insult one of them, her friend probably won't take too kindly to that.
  10. This should go without saying, but don't take any of the dancers' tips! You'd be surprised how fast they can run in heels.

Why Use A Party Bus?

If you're going to be visiting a gentlemen's club on your bachelor party weekend, why not arrive in style? You don't want to show up to a gentlemen's club in a dingy old vehicle or a bunch of Ubers. You are there to have a good time, so why not travel in what is essentially a nightclub on wheels so that the party never has to stop? A party bus is the best mode of transportation for a bachelor party, as we have discussed before.

So contact Ninja Buses today to book a party bus for your bachelor party!

Charter Bus vs. Party Bus: What Is the Difference?

3/1/2019

We see buses traveling on the highway every day. From school buses to party buses to charter buses to tour buses, there is a wide variety of buses being used on the roads today.
But how do you know which one you need to use for your event? Every type of bus has its own distinct personality, so let's delve into a few of them, starting with charter buses in Austin.

What Are Charter Buses?

Charter buses, also known as coaches or motor coaches, are essentially very large buses. They are just as big as a tour bus (if not bigger), but they lack the special amenities that tour buses offer like beds, sofas, a mini-kitchen, etc.
The benefit that charter buses have over all other buses, however, is their capacity. Most charter buses can fit upwards of 35-40 people in their large cabins.

Most often used for corporate travel, charter buses are primarily used for long-distance trips. If a company has a conference to attend that is out of the city where they are based, then a charter bus is probably the vehicle option it will go with since airfare tends to be on the pricier side of things.

Since they are made for long-distance travel, charter buses are frequently referred to as an airplane on wheels. They have large luggage compartments underneath the cabin, TV screens behind the headrests (or TVs that fold down from the ceiling), small restrooms, Wi-Fi and power outlets.
They are very useful for business travel, even if they don't come with road attendants.

Can You Have a Bachelor Party on a Charter Bus in Austin?

While you have the option to use any type of vehicle(s) for your bachelor party, it isn't recommended to use a charter bus.
Yes, you'll be able to move everyone around town in the same vehicle, thereby removing the complication of coordinating a bunch of rideshare vehicles, but it lacks a certain pizzazz that you're probably going to want on your big night.

As stated above, charter buses are typically used for long-distance trips. If you're just driving around Austin going from bar to bar, a charter bus isn't the type of vehicle you want to use for your transportation.
It's big and bulky, which is fine, but it doesn't really "fit" with a lot of the places you're probably going to visit the night of your bachelor party (i.e., bars, dive or otherwise).

Charter buses are a great option for transportation on the day of your wedding, but not for your bachelor party. They just don't scream "party," and while you absolutely can use one for your bachelor party, it doesn't mean you should use one.

What Are Other Options Besides Charter Buses?

As mentioned, a charter bus isn't really your best option when it comes to modes of transportation for your bachelor party. While they are perfect for corporate travel (and sports teams), they don't really set the right mood for a bachelor party. Unless you're traveling across the state, it's best to steer clear of charter buses.

You do have the option to split your group up among a bunch of rideshare vehicles like Uber or Lyft. That will be affordable and mean that everyone has to be responsible for their own ride, but it does mean splitting your friends up on your big night.
That can be alright if you're just bar-hopping downtown, but if you're going to places all over the city, then it defeats the purpose of gathering a group of your best friends together.

The best option for your bachelor party is to book a party bus. Not only will you get to keep your entire group together between stops, but you'll be able to keep the party going without any breaks! A nightclub on wheels, a party bus offers amenities that you won't find in any other modes of transportation. Stereo systems with bluetooth hookups, flat-screen TVs, karaoke, wet bars, neon lights, you name it! A party bus probably has it.

It's such a growing industry that more and more companies are finding new things to add to their buses, so do some research and find the perfect bus for you. You'll also be able to bring your own alcohol and leave it on the bus so it's waiting for you when you come back.

Everything You Need to Know about Dive Bars in Austin

10/8/2018

Ah, dive bars. The esteemed hole-in-the-wall establishments. Reviled by some and adored by many, dive bars are their own breed of bar.
Austin, TX is home to many of these fine locales, and each one has their own distinct flair. But which ones should you visit while you're in Austin? We've got the answers for you right here.

What Is an Austin Dive Bar?

Dive bars have the extra dose of personality that other bars don't. When you go to a dive bar, you're guaranteed to run into regulars.
You'll see, dive bars may not look like much on the inside, but they have established a stable clientele that ensures you'll find a sense of community in the bar you visit.

Other things you'll find? Pool tables, jukeboxes, oddball décor and dirty bathrooms. That last one isn't exactly a positive aspect, but the quality of the bathrooms has become a staple of dive bars everywhere.
A few things to remember about dive bars:
  • Some of them still allow smoking indoors
  • Some of them only accept cash
  • Some of them only have one beer on tap, and it may not be very good (one local dive bar has only Natural Light on tap for $2 a pint).

The three above points are reasons some people don't prefer to visit dive bars, but many would argue that those "negative" qualities are part of their charm!
There is a wonderful unpretentious quality to dive bars that many people find endearing, so if you are one of those people then keep on reading!

How Can a Dive Bar Tour Improve Your Bachelor Party?

Visiting a few dive bars can add a little bit of character to your bachelor party (not that you don't have enough already).
It can also be a fun change of scenery from the formal wineries and casual breweries that people tend to visit on their big weekends. Of course, when you go to a dive bar you're going to get something very casual, but that's kind of the point, isn't it?

If you've got a whole weekend planned, and one of those nights is spent on 6th Street, consider switching it up a bit and doing a dive bar tour. Look at it this way: everyone goes to 6th Street when they come to Austin.
If you're coming into town and you tell a local "Let's go to 6th Street!", they're probably going to roll their eyes.

However, if you opt to do a dive bar tour, then that brings something fresh and exciting to the proceedings.
The added bonus of dive bars is that there are plenty of them which even locals haven't discovered yet, so you could easily find a diamond in the rough that most people haven't caught on to yet.

How Can Ninja Buses Help?

Austin is home to dozens of dive bars. Whether you're north, east, south, west or central, there's always a dive bar near you.

But which ones are the must-visit bars? Here at Ninja Buses, we know all the best dive bars to visit in town.
In fact, one of our favorite dive bars is located just five minutes from our garage! Located in central Austin on the west side of 5th street, The Mean-Eyed Cat is a Johnny Cash-themed dive bar that also doubles as a satellite location for Stubb's BBQ.

In the same area (on the other side of Mopac/Loop 1) you'll find Deep Eddy Cabaret, which has been opened for more than 60 years!
Moving to the north side of town, it's imperative that you visit Lala's Little Nugget, which is decorated like Christmas all year round, and Workhorse Bar with its tree stump chairs.

Heading on over to the East side, you'll find a plethora of houses that have been converted into bars. The legendary East side is changing fast, but you'll still find a good bit of old-fashioned dive bars like La Perla and its friendly staff and Shangri-La with its enormous outside patio.

Not all of the best dive bars are centered in one location, so you're going to want to travel around the city to hit all of the hot spots.
Ninja Buses can help you do that by renting you one of our party buses! Not only does this allow you to keep everyone in your group together from bar to bar, but it also ensures that you're able to keep the party going between stops.
  • Don't split everyone up in a bunch of Ubers.
  • And don't drive around town in your own cars (drinking and driving is a big no-no!).

Rent a party bus, which comes packed with tons of cool amenities like speaker systems with Bluetooth capabilities, flat-screen TVs, Nintendos and more!

Breweries like Lazarus Brewing Co., Blue Owl Brewing and Zilker Brewing Company are all fantastic. If you prefer not well-known ones, not only in the heart of downtown Austin but also on the north side of town located the breweries that most people forget about. Just north of Highway 183 are dozens of wonderful breweries like Austin Beerworks, Circle Brewing Company and Adelbert's Brewery.
If you're in the mood for some food, head on over to the Arboretum area, where you'll find the restaurant/craft brewery hybrid NXNW.

Lest you think you have to stay in Austin to visit all of the best breweries, never fear. There are plenty of breweries on the outskirts of town.
One of the most popular tours in Austin is to head over to Lake Travis and visit the Infamous Brewing Company and the Oasis Texas Brewing Company before heading on a party barge on the lake. So rather than do a full day of 3 or 4 breweries, cut it in half and do 2 breweries and a boat party.

Finally, you can visit the Hill Country, which is primarily known for wineries, it doesn't skimp on the breweries either. Heading to the Hill Country for your brewery tour is especially beneficial if you are in a party bus because it means your trip will last longer.
If you're booking a party bus, you want to make sure you get some quality time in the vehicle, otherwise what's the point?
In Driftwood and Dripping Springs, you can find Vista Brewing and the Twisted X Brewing Company, respectively. In between stops, you can even stop at the famous Salt Lick BBQ, one of the most popular barbecue joints in Texas!

Austin Brewery Bus Tour Experiences

Brewery tour is one of the most popular events for bachelor parties in Austin. Why is that? Well, there's a certain community aspect, which is inherent to the brewery world that transfers over to its customers. It almost feels like a second home.
When you go on a brewery tour, it is important to select breweries that fit your group. Your two main options are going to be the standard breweries and the microbreweries.
  • Standard breweries are going to be your large-scale production breweries that produce more well-known beers across the country.
  • Microbreweries are smaller craft breweries that produce beers in small batches in order to preserve quality.
We recommend visiting at least one of each type of brewery, as you can learn a lot about the different styles of beer in Austin.

The beers at most of the Austin breweries are connected to the city. Austin's unofficial slogan is "Keep Austin Weird" and that slogan applies to the beer produced here as well. Many people prefer the casual atmosphere of brewery tours over winery tours, which can sometimes be considered more formal. That doesn't mean you should show up at a brewery inebriated (or plan to get inebriated during your tour), but breweries are definitely a little more relaxed than wineries.

The Lowdown on Texas Wine Tours: Where to Go and What to Do?

10/3/2018

We all know that a party bus is the best mode of transportation for you to go on your winery tour in Austin, but how do you know which wineries you want to go to? Texas is a very large state, so you have plenty of options when it comes to places to visit.

There is one area of Texas that is the most popular place to visit for wine enthusiasts, though, and that is what we will be discussing here.

Top Destinations for a Texas Winery Tour

While Austin does contain plenty of wineries, the top destination for winery tours in Texas is the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Comprised of cities like Fredericksburg, Dripping Springs and Driftwood, the Hill Country features some of Texas' top wineries.
In fact, some of the wineries in the Hill Country are considered the best in the country. Not bad for a state whose wine industry was once considered sub-par!

The most popular wineries of the region would have to be Becker Vineyards, Duchman Family Winery and Pedernales Cellars, these seem to be the most widely known Texas wineries in the country.
Don't feel like you have to restrict yourself to the most popular wineries, though, as there are a few diamonds in the rough to be found in the Hill Country. We would recommend:
  • Bell Springs Winery, with its spacious outdoor deck
  • Crowson Winery, a boutique winery that specializes in natural winemaking practices
  • Solaro Estate Winery and their racing Thoroughbreds
  • And, if you'd like, you can visit a winery that is actually in Austin, the aptly named Austin Winery, which is quickly becoming one of the most popular wineries in the region

The best part about doing winery tours out in the Hill Country is that there are plenty of other great spots to visit between stops.
In Fredericksburg, you can visit the historic Main Street, which is home to dozens of adorable mom n' pop shops and quaint restaurants. If you're booking a weekend trip, be sure to stay in a bed and breakfast, as Fredericksburg is famous for them.
Driftwood is home to the legendary Salt Lick BBQ, arguably the best barbecue in the state (there are plenty of arguments to be made when it comes to the best Texas barbecue, however).

Best Austin Wine Bus Tour to Fit Your Taste

To find the best winery tour to fit your taste, it's really going to depend on the types of wines you like. Whether you are a light drinker or a heavy drinker, every winery will have a little something for everybody.

When you walk in, you have the option of either touring the winery, enjoying a tasting or simply purchasing a glass of wine at the bar and enjoying the scenery. You can make your tour be pretty much anything you want it to be, but we definitely recommend enjoying a tasting to get the most out of your trip.

Most winery tour trips will consist of visits to three or four wineries. If you don't want to do tastings at each one, you can mix it up a bit and plan what you will do at each one.
A good way is to do a full-blown tour at your first stop when everyone is at their most sober, then do a tasting at your second stop and, finally, purchasing a glass (or two) of wine at your third and fourth stops. This way of doing winery tours has proven to be the most successful when it comes to ensuring that everyone in your group has a great time.

Of course, you don't have to do it this way. If you want to do a tasting at each stop then go ahead! If you only want to visit two wineries because you want to do a tour and a tasting at each one, that is okay too! There is no right or wrong way about winery tours. As long as everyone has a good time, that is all matters.

Party Bus Vs. Limo: Which is the Better Option For You?

9/28/2018

When you're considering travel options for your bachelor party, there are a plethora of options to choose from. The most economical route would be to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, but if you want to travel in style, then a limousine or a party bus rental is going to be your best option. Limousines have long been the go-to option for classy travel, but party buses have risen in popularity in recent years. Everyone knows what they're going to get with a limousine. However, not everyone knows what they're going to get with a party bus.

Limousines

Advantages
The main advantage of renting a limousine is that it will be more cost effective. It will still be about as much per person as renting a party bus, but because limousines are meant to hold about 10 people, the pricing evens out. If you put 10 people on a party bus you'll be paying a lot more per person since the total cost is higher.

Limousines have been a staple of high-end group travel for decades and they are instantly recognizable. If you want to impress passersby, then you can't go wrong with a limo. Typically associated with events ranging from red carpet events in Hollywood to high school proms, limos have been a public mainstay for a reason.

Limousines are also good if you want privacy. If you're traveling with a smaller group (or perhaps just your significant other), then the tinted windows of a limo can provide the perfect amount of privacy (and in some cases, an aura of mystery) for you. This is preferred by some customers, and if you are one of them then a limo is probably the way to go.

Disadvantages
With a limousine, you'll be fairly limited in the number of people you can bring with you. Most limousines have a capacity of 12, though you can find some stretch limousines that allow for up to 16 people. You also want to consider the space inside a limousine. Limousines are low to the ground and if you fill them to capacity, then there won't really be any space to move around. It can also start to feel a bit cramped.

Limousines are good for transportation from Point A to Point B, but if you want to spend the majority of your night in the vehicle, it won't be the most comfortable option. You're typically going to be seated low to the ground with limited mobility, and if you do decide to move around you'll be crawling over the other passengers to get where you need to go.

Limos are often seen as the formal way to travel as well, so if you're going on a pub crawl or to a gentlemen's club, a limo may not exactly be the look you are going for. Plus, some might view going in a limousine to be a little too obvious. After all, doesn't everyone travel in a limousine for their big bash?

Party Buses

We've covered the reasons you should choose a party bus before, but let's go into a bit more detail with the pros and cons of choosing a party bus:

Advantages
Let's start with the main advantage: you've got more space! If you have 20-30 people in your group, your choice is to rent one party bus or rent multiple limousines. Renting a party bus allows you to keep everyone in your group together so everyone can enjoy the party, but it also acts as a nightclub on wheels. There is tons of space to move around the vehicle (though not when it is moving, of course).

Party buses will also feature cool amenities like flat-screen TVs, music streaming capabilities, video game systems, karaoke and more! Some limousines will have TV screens or neon lights and most will have a wet bar or a place to chill your champagne, but a party bus has all of that and more.

Many customers' deciding factor in a party bus vs. a limousine is price, and in that regard party buses have limousines beat. While the overall price of a party bus will likely be greater than that of a limousine, it winds up being less per person since you can fit up to 30 people in most party buses.

Disadvantages
Everything is in a name: a party bus is meant to be for a party. This doesn't mean you can't use a party bus for any event you wish, but if you were to go to, let's say, a funeral in a party bus, then some people may find your choice of vehicle to be a bit tacky. Sometimes a party bus isn't the best choice of vehicle for the occasion. A good rule of thumb? If it's not a party (of sorts), then don't get a party bus.

If you're not planning on being on the road for very long, a party bus isn't really the best option for you either. The whole point of renting a party bus is to spend time partying on it, so if you're simply trying to get from Point A to Point B (and they aren't very far apart), then spending the money on a party bus is a little pointless. Why spend money on it if you're not going to enjoy it!

5 Places to Go on a Party Bus

9/24/2018

One of the questions party bus companies get all the time is "where do we go?" The purpose of a party bus is to provide transportation for your group, but it's also to give your group a place to party while you're in transit to your destination(s). It is important to balance out your itinerary so that you're not going to places that are right next to each other. If you do that, then you won't be spending any time on your party bus!

Why Use a Party Bus?

As we've covered before, the main benefit of using a party bus for your event is that it keeps everyone together. Sure, you could rent a bunch of Ubers and travel that way, but where is the fun in that? Keep everyone together so that the party never stops, and you'll be a winner in everyone's eyes.

A rideshare service isn't going to offer you all of the high-end amenities that a party bus can, either. if you book a party bus, you'll have access to a superior sound system, TVs, video games, karaoke and much, much more! A party bus is essentially a night club on wheels, so the fun is unlimited!

Where Can You Go on a Party Bus?

There are tons of places in Austin that you can visit on a party bus, but we're going to give you a few examples of the types of places you can stop by.

Wineries
Austin just so happens to be the next door neighbor of Texas Hill Country, which means you have a plethora of wineries that you can visit. Winery tours are becoming more and more popular in the area, and since most of them are about a 45-minute drive outside of city limits (though Austin does feature some notable wineries), a party bus is the perfect way to get the party started.

Breweries
If wine isn't your thing, then consider a brewery tour! Breweries (and cideries!) happen to be sprinkled all throughout Austin, so you can make a trip that starts in central Austin, then moves north and then down South before you return to your starting point.

Bars
The most common request of a party bus company's services is to take the customers bar-hopping. Think of it as a night out on the town, but you've got a fancy ride from place to place that you're also allowed to drink on.

Team Building
Whether you're a large corporation or a small mom and pop shop, a party bus is a great way to bring your team together. You don't even have to go anywhere! So often team building outings are spent in hotel meeting rooms. Why not use a room on wheels? A party bus can be adapted to fit any kind of team building exercises you have in mind. With a party bus you can use the TVs (if equipped) to play videos or show presentations.

Football Games and Other Sporting Events
If you live in or are visiting Austin in the fall, then chances are you're going to go to at least one football game. If you've got a tailgate party planned, book a party bus to park outside so you can go relax if it gets too hot. Then, when you and your crew are ready to head to the game, hop on the bus and you'll be on the way! The best part is that the party doesn't stop once you get on the bus. It is a party bus, after all.

Party on Safely! Simple Do's and Don'ts on a Party Bus

9/20/2018

Some rules were made to be broken. At Ninja Buses, we believe that traditional bachelor party planning rules could use some shock therapy. How you arrive at a particular restaurant, nightclub or venue should be (at least close to) as exciting as the establishments themselves. That is why we put so much care and attention into your transportation experience, so no opportunity for fun goes overlooked.

That being said, some party do's and don'ts were designed to keep the fun from turning into dangerous or unpleasant situations for you and your party. We've covered this a little bit last month when we discussed the rules of a party bus, but that article mostly pertained to what you should do when looking for a party bus company. In this article, we're going to focus on what you should and shouldn't do while you are actually on the party bus.

Do's

  1. Do bring cash in case any of your requested stops charge parking fees.
  2. Do tip your driver (or check to see if gratuity is included in your booking payment).
  3. Do check to see which bathroom activities can be done in your bus' toilet (if it is equipped with one).
  4. Do bring your own food and alcohol (don't forget coolers!).
  5. Do listen to your driver. He or she is the ultimate authority on the party bus.
  6. Do clean up after yourself. The driver should also be cleaning between stops and he or she will clean at the end of the night, but the party bus company provides trash receptacles on the bus for a reason.
  7. Do have an itinerary. The driver has to know where he or she is taking you!
  8. Do make sure you grab all of your valuables before leaving the party bus at any time.
  9. Do keep a headcount of your guests. You don't want to leave anyone behind!
  10. Do keep a cell phone on you and make sure you get the driver's phone number! He or she will be waiting for you between stops but won't always be able to park in a visible spot.

Dont's

You'd think that the don'ts would be fairly obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many people think they can get away with anything while inside a party bus. A party bus company isn't trying to act as the "fun police," but their first job is to keep everyone on board the bus as safe as possible, and that is where many of these "don'ts" come from (well, that and bus upkeep). While uncommon, accidents in party buses can happen, but if you follow the rules set forth by the party bus company then the odds of an accident actually happening are slim to none. Here are 10 simple rules of what to avoid doing while on a party bus:
  1. Don't bring any weapons on board the party bus.
  2. Don't smoke on the party bus.
  3. Don't bring any illegal drugs on the party bus.
  4. Don't tamper with any electronics or accessories on the party bus.
  5. Don't distract the driver while he or she is driving the bus.
  6. Don't allow minors to drink alcohol.
  7. Don't hang out of the windows.
  8. Don't open the emergency doors or roof hatches (unless it's actually an emergency).
  9. Don't fight with other passengers on the bus.
  10. Don't mistreat the party bus. Treat it as if it were your own.

Why Use Ninja Buses Services?

At the end of the day, people are going to party on a party bus. We get that! It's part of the business. Our goal here at Ninja Buses is to ensure that you have the absolute best party bus experience imaginable, albeit in a safe way. The "don'ts" are all fairly standard rules that you'll find at most party bus companies, but we don't enforce them to be mean. We just want to keep everyone safe. We will do just that when you book a bus with us! We want to make your trip as fun as possible so that you hardly have to do any work (We won't even make you look up our DOT status. You can see it right here!).

How to Choose The Right Size Party Bus for Your Event

9/17/2018

We've discussed how to pick the party bus that is right for you based on its look and amenities, but what about making sure it's the right size? After all, you need to make sure you can fit everyone inside the bus! Let's talk about the different party bus sizes you'll come across in your hunt for the perfect party bus.

What Factors Affect The Needed Party Bus Sizes?

1. Number of People
The most important thing to consider when choosing a party bus size is the number of people in your group. If you've ever planned a party, then you know that this is not as easy as it sounds. People can flake at the last minute.

Sometimes people don't RSVP until the day of the party. It's pandemonium!

A good rule of thumb is to get as many RSVPs as you can and then expect about three more people than that to show up on the day of the party. If they don't show up, then you've got extra space. If they do, then you'll be glad you considered it!

2. Amenities
This is the one thing that everyone forgets about. Yes, you could be bringing 20 or 30 people on the party bus, but what items will all of you be bringing? Will everyone be bringing their own cooler?

If so, you've got to make sure you have plenty of extra space on the bus.

What about games? Or food containers?

Think about all of the items that everyone will be bringing with them and make sure you book a bus with enough space for that.

3. Needed Space
Finally, you've got to consider the space that all of your guests need.

A bus that has a capacity for 30 people may mean that the people are sitting shoulder-to-shoulder. This doesn't mean that they're being packed in the bus like a bunch of sardines, but it does mean that there won't be a ton of space to move around.

As terrible as it sounds, you'll also want to consider the sizes of your guests. If anyone is on the larger side of the spectrum, then you may want to consider the airplane rule and consider them as two passengers.

How to Choose The Right Party Bus Size

If you want to choose the right party bus size, all you have to do is carefully consider the three things listed above, and remember:
  • Yes, a bigger bus is usually going to be more expensive, but when you consider the fact that you're (ideally) splitting the cost between 20(ish) people, it really evens out.
  • It's always better to get a bus that's a little bigger than the one you need so that everyone is comfortable.

Ninja Bus Sizes

At Ninja Buses, we offer a wide variety of bus sizes and styles to fit your group. The style is an important thing to consider because it does directly impact the capacity of the bus:

1. Shuttle
Our smallest and most economical vehicle is the shuttle bus. It has a maximum capacity of 16 people.
Due to its more conventional interior, this bus is perfect for smaller groups merely looking for a mode of transportation to get from one place to the next.

2. Tour Bus
Despite being the largest vehicle in our fleet, our John Denver tour bus Calypso can "only" hold up to 26 passengers.

That is still a lot, and it's filled with many more amenities than the other buses, including a wet bar, sofas, a restroom, etc.

3. School Bus
We know, a party isn't necessarily what comes to mind when you think of a school bus, but hear us out: with completely refurbished interiors and electronic upgrades, a school bus makes for the perfect party bus.

With the party bus seating (bench-style and facing each other), you're able to fit up to 30 people in one of these bad boys.

4. City Bus
Now for the big guy: the Urban Force city bus.

Formerly a Cap Metro transit vehicle, the Urban Force has 30 seats in it but also has plenty of standing room for extra guests (just like a city bus).

This bus is great for those really large groups, not only because of the excess space but also because it has the best air conditioning out of all of our buses, an absolute necessity in the summer!

Take a look at all the vehicles of Ninja Buses by visiting our website and book your party bus today!

Is a Limousine Service Austin's Best Option for Your Bachelor Party?

9/13/2018

The most important thing to consider when planning your bachelor or bachelorette party is transportation, especially if you plan on making multiple stops throughout the day/night. After all, if you don't have transportation, how are you going to get to where you need to go? Everyone's go-to desire for a night on the town is a limousine, but just what does a limousine entail? We are going to take a look at the inner workings of limousines in this article.

When Should You Take a Limousine?

There are all sorts of occasions that you might want to rent a limousine. Some of these occasions include but are not limited to bachelor/bachelorette parties, weddings, proms, quinceañeras or a simple night out on the town. Don't forget about birthdays, anniversaries, etc. There are all sorts of occasions that call for the rental of a limousine.

Limousines are commonly associated with high-end events, though this isn't necessarily the case. Sure, celebrities use them to take them to red carpet events, but 18-year-olds also take them to their senior prom. In truth, you could take a limousine to work in the mornings if you would like to, but most people don't do this because it would cause them to go bankrupt. All we're trying to say is, limousines are the most common mode of transportation to use during celebrations. While they used to be associated with high-end clientele, that isn't really the way it is anymore. The business has become more all-inclusive and affordable, especially when you factor in splitting the bill between all members of your party.

Common Types of Limousines in Austin

There are a plethora of types of limousines in the Austin area, but most of the differences pertain to the exterior of the vehicle. From the stock limousine to a hummer limousine to a Cadillac Escalade limousine, they all offer pretty much the same thing: a larger vehicle capable of transporting larger groups of people with a high-end atmosphere. People rent limousines because they want to feel fancy.

Limousines have pretty distinctive features (meaning: you can tell it's a limousine just from a picture of the interior). Other than the obvious (a really long space to sit in), you've got your leather interiors, your wet bar, your champagne chilling area, your glass holders, your divider window, your colored lights and your sound system.

Rates for limousines vary by company, but some can be as low as $60 an hour and some can be as high as $200 per hour. Surprisingly, there isn't a huge difference between these companies other than the levels of service that they provide. Some of the more expensive places may offer a few extra perks, but if you're just trying to get from point A to point B, one of the less expensive options will suffice. It really just depends on what you are doing and the type of party you are trying to have.

Can You Have a Bachelor Party In a Limousine?

If you have a group of 10 or fewer people, you can absolutely have a bachelor party in a limousine. Some companies offer stretch limousines that can fit up to 20 people. It is relatively easy to choose the ride that is the best fit for your group since you simply have to check the capacity of each vehicle.

Let's talk about practicality, though. If you've got 10 guys in your bachelor party and one limousine to split between all of you, it's probably going to be a little cramped. Limousines are essentially long cars, but because they are so low to the ground, it can start to feel a bit cramped the more people you have in your group.

Other Options Besides Limousines

We don't mean to beat a dead horse, but if you've got a larger group of people and want more space to move around the vehicle, then a party bus is your best option. The atmosphere is totally different inside a party bus, too. While many limousine rental companies are getting into the party bus business, you will find that they are a bit more upscale than what you would envision a party bus to be. Some party bus companies include a stripper pole, which isn't something you're going to find in a limousine. You'll also find more variety in the fleet of a party bus company. Party buses can come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and features. Most limousines lack that variety.

Lastly, party buses are used to working around the clock, so they are more capable of accommodating last-minute requests. A lot of party bus companies will even accommodate day-of requests on weekends! This is something that a limousine rental company isn't likely to do.

Lastly, a party bus is just that: a party. Think of it as a nightclub on wheels. Because of their extensive space, party buses are perfect for large groups who want to actually have a party on the bus. This is something you're not able to do in a limousine since the space is more limited. When people think of a limousine they think of it as a mode of transportation. A party bus doubles as a mode of transportation and a venue. That's the main difference.

Other than party buses and limousines, you can always split your group up into a few Ubers (or other rideshare service vehicles). If your stops are all within a mile of each other, you could split your group up into a few pedicabs. Or you could actually take a few taxi cabs (though the public transportations system isn't exactly on the same level as that of New York City). All of these options include the same phrase: splitting up. Ultimately, the final choice is yours, but we're guessing you'd like to keep everyone together during your big celebration, right?

If our assumption is correct, then contact Ninja Buses today to book a party bus for your celebration!

Want to Improve Your Bachelor Party? Try a Party Bus!

9/10/2018

If you are going to celebrate your bachelor/bachelorette party with your friends, you are going to need a cost-effective mode of transportation that keeps everyone together. Whether you're going bar-hopping, going on a winery tour or a brewery tour, or just wanting to explore the city, a party bus is your best option that is sure to be enjoyed by every member of your party.

What Is a Party Bus?

Technically speaking, a party bus is a large motor vehicle that has been modified or upgraded to hold anywhere from 10-40 people for recreational purposes. What that definition doesn't tell you is that a party bus is basically a bigger, badder version of a limousine with plenty of space for you and your friends to move around in. Think of it as a nightclub on wheels.

You might think that, other than capacity limitations, a party bus and a limousine are essentially the same. You would be correct, but what a limousine doesn't offer is the chance to ride around in style. People see limousines everywhere, but a party bus truly makes an impression when it's driving around the city.

You also have the option to simply stay in your party bus all night. The extra space helps with this, as it's not likely that you'll want to be cooped up in a limousine all night. A party bus gives you the option to actually party on the bus without stopping!

Why Should You Take a Party Bus for Your Bachelor Party?

There are plenty of benefits when you use a party bus for your bachelor party, so let's cover the most important ones, shall we?

The most important perk of a party bus is that you get to keep everyone in your group together. That is something a rideshare service like Uber simply cannot do. If you've got a few people and you're all staying downtown, you can book a few Ubers or ride in a couple of pedicabs, but if you're venturing anywhere that isn't in your area and you've got a larger group, then a party bus really is your best option.

It may seem like splitting a bunch of Ubers will be the more cost-effective option, but it actually evens out a bit more than you may think, especially when you take multiple stops into account. For smaller groups, a rideshare service works perfectly, since you can fit everyone in the same vehicle. But if you have 10 or more people in your group, it's better to book a party bus. Not only will you easily be able to keep track of everyone throughout the night, but you'll also ensure that everyone shares in the same experience and doesn't miss out on anything, especially the photo ops!

You also won't run into any parking problems in a party bus. During your bachelor party, your driver will drop you and your group off at each stop and either wait in the parking lot for you or drive around the corner and find a safe place to wait for you and your friends to come back. All party bus drivers will give you their cell phone number so you can let them know when you're ready to be picked up.

We all know it isn't okay to drink and drive, right? In case you didn't know that: IT IS NOT OKAY TO DRINK AND DRIVE. Booking a party bus will save you the hassle of having to worry about a designated driver. Plus, you don't want any of your friends to experience major FOMO (fear of missing out) because they're not able to enjoy your party to the fullest. Booking a party bus is a great way of making this worry go away.

Not only will a party bus prevent any issues with selecting a designated driver, but it will also save you a lot of time during your party. All you have to do is pre-select your destinations and make an itinerary before your trip starts and hand it over to your driver. Then you can just sit back and enjoy the ride while your driver does all the navigation for you!

Ultimately, though, a party bus is all about the experience, and the companies behind the buses know that. You want to be able to spend the whole night celebrating with your friends and not have to worry about the trivial tasks that come with party planning. If you're worrying about those little details all night, then you're not going to have any fun! It's time to hand the reins over to your local party bus company and enjoy your night. Let them do all of the worryings for you!

What is Special About Ninja Buses?

When people think of a party bus, they usually think of a large, black bus with leather interiors, neon lights, a stripper pole and a wet bar. Those people wouldn't be wrong, but that's not exactly what Ninja Buses is. In an effort to differentiate ourselves from the competition, we have opted to do as the Austinites do and get a little weird with our fleet. Our fleet consists of a wide variety of vehicle styles with different interiors. Ranging from school buses to actual Cap Metro City Buses to John Denver's actual tour bus from the 1980s, Ninja Buses offers a party bus experience unlike anything else seen in Austin and we stand by it!

To top things off, our buses look pretty awesome (if we do say so ourselves). Each of our party buses (save for John Denver's tour bus, because we can't bear to alter its appearance) is wrapped in some truly killer Ninja Bus-themed artwork that will be sure to have bystanders gaping in jealousy at your amazing and stylish ride.
If you book with Ninja Buses, you're guaranteed to have the best party bus experience because Ninja Bus drivers are the best in the business! When they are hired, each driver is taken through a training process on how to deliver the "Ninja Bus Experience," so you'll always know that you're in the right hands when you book with us. A Party Bus Tour to Austin's Must-Visit BBQ Spots!

9/5/2018

It's widely known that one of the best bbq spots in the country is Austin, Texas, so if you're planning on a tour to visit the capital of Texas for your bachelor/bachelorette party, you should be sure to stop by a few places during your time here.

Austin BBQ Tour Options

A BBQ tour is a bit different than a winery tour or a brewery tour in that many of the BBQ joints in Austin don't actually provide a tour of their facility. This isn't all that surprising, but it's something to consider when planning your party. A helpful tip? Share meals! If you're visiting 4 BBQ joints (and really, you shouldn't visit more than 4 anyway) then you have the opportunity to eat a lot of food. You don't want to fill up after the first stop!

There are a few BBQ touring companies located in Austin, and while they will pull through in a pinch, they aren't fully necessary. All you really need is some advice on which places to visit (we'll get to that in a moment) and an awesome ride (we'll also get to that in a moment).

Austin is home to so many great BBQ spots. However, will you choose just a few to visit? Allow us to help you out with that!

Top Austin BBQ Destinations

Stubb's Bar-B-Q (Mean-Eyed Cat)

Stubb's is undoubtedly the most well-known BBQ spot in Austin because it doubles as a restaurant and a concert venue. Its location in the heart of downtown Austin doesn't hurt, either. Because of its popularity, the restaurant is usually quite crowded. We recommend making a stop at the Mean-Eyed Cat, a Johnny Cash-themed dive bar located about two miles west of Stubb's. Why is that, you ask? Because the Mean-Eyed Cat also operates as a satellite location of Stubb's. You won't get the complete Stubb's Bar-B-Q menu, but you'll get most of their best options (and avoid the crowds so you're not waiting around too long).

The Salt Lick BBQ
Opened in 1967 by Thurman Roberts, Sr. and his wife Hisako T. Roberts, The Salt Lick is one of the most-visited BBQ spots in Austin. It is so popular, in fact, that it is even home to Thurman's Mansion, a popular wedding venue in the area. The Salt Lick is located in Driftwood, about a 30-minute drive southwest of downtown Austin. Even though it's a bit of a drive (which is the perfect excuse to book a party bus for your transportation), it's totally worth it. Our recommendation? Get the Thurman's Choice Plate. It's a great sampler of the best of their menu: brisket, pork ribs and sausage, with the standard sides of coleslaw, beans and their one-of-a-kind potato salad. Just don't forget to bring cash! The Salt Lick is a cash-only operation.

Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew
Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew is the perfect place to kill two birds with one stone, in that they have one of the best beer menus out of all the BBQ spots in Austin. Named after the historic 1800s I. & G. N. railroad stop Stiles Switch, Texas (and owner Shane Stiles), Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew is located in North Austin near Highland Village. Come for the BBQ (the brisket is among the best Austin has to offer), but stay for their curated craft beer menu!

Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que
Cooper's BBQ has long been a Texas staple but only just recently opened up a location in Austin back in 2016. With three other locations in Llano, New Braunfels and Fort Worth, Cooper's occupies the 200 block of Congress Avenue in downtown Austin. Cooper's offers some of the largest portions out of all of the BBQ spots in Austin, but what really helps Cooper's stand out among the pack is its live music stage, roof-top garden and oak-shaded back patio (we take our oak trees seriously here in Austin). And whatever you do, don't miss out on the apple cobbler!

La Barbecue
Austin's self-proclaimed "bitchin' barbecue" spot is one of the newer BBQ hot spots in the city, but that doesn't mean it's inexperienced. La Barbecue is quickly becoming one of the must-visit spots on every BBQ tour list. Located on the east side, La Barbecue consists of a small trailer with some picnic tables housed under some oak trees (See? We love our oak trees). The line is usually long but it moves at a pretty fast rate. Another perk? La Barbecue provides free beer to everyone waiting in line on the weekends!

You're probably thinking "But what about Franklin's BBQ?" While it's true that Franklin BBQ has some of the best BBQ in Austin, the establishment is also notorious for its long wait times, but their pre-orders must be to-go orders. If you want to chance it and wait in line to eat inside, you're welcome to give it a shot (but don't say we didn't warn you).

Offers From Ninja Buses

As we have mentioned in our previous articles: you need a mode of transportation to get from place to place! Sure, you could stay somewhere downtown and walk from place to place, but you'll miss out on some of the best BBQ outside of downtown (and yes, there are things outside of downtown Austin). Which mode of transportation should you use, though? Call us biased, but we say to use a party bus! Not only does a party bus keep your group together for the day/night, but it also lends itself to a party atmosphere. If you're using the weekend to spend time with your best friends, do you want to be split up between a bunch of Ubers? Or would you rather party in style and stick together on the ride between BBQ stops? The answer is obvious.

Distillery Tours: A Tasty Start to Your Bachelor Party

8/31/2018

Now that we've covered winery tours and brewery tours, it's time to move on to something for our more hardcore drinkers: distillery tours. If tasting various liquors for four hours sounds like fun (and if you're celebrating a bachelor/bachelorette party, why wouldn't it?), then you've come to the right place! We're here to help you decide which options best suit your needs, and also offer some advice on how to not get too inebriated too early in your celebration. Austin distillery tours have plenty to offer, so you don't want to miss out!

Which Distilleries Should You Visit?

There are a plethora of distilleries to visit in both the Austin and Hill Country areas. It really just depends on what you're wanting to drink! If we may be so bold as to make a few suggestions, though:

Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery
Dripping Springs is sort of the hot place to be in Central Texas right now. Located between Austin and the Hill Country, Dripping Springs is home to some of the best distilleries out there, especially when it comes to vodka. First up is the Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery. What makes this particular venue so great is that it has something for everybody. Famous for their flavored vodkas (Ruby Red Grapefruit, Sweet Tea and Peach are just some of the flavored options), Deep Eddy is a distillery you don't want to miss.

Dripping Springs Vodka, Gin & Bourbon Distillery
Rounding out Dripping Springs is the aptly named Dripping Springs Vodka, Gin and Bourbon Distillery. If we're being quite honest, we're including this one if only because it offers three of the five "Big Liquors," so there's bound to be something for everyone in your group!

Still Austin Whiskey Co.
If you are a fan of housemade liquors, then Still Austin Whiskey Co. is your distillery. Everything is made in-house and 100% locally made from grain to glass, as their website proudly states. This is a great stop to make around lunch time since the Pan-Asian food truck Soursop is in the same parking lot.

Texas Saké Company
If you'd like a break from some of the stronger liquors, give Texas Saké Company a try. It's a nice little palette cleanser from all of the other distillery. If you're staying in Austin, it's also a great place to end your tour since it's located in the South Lamar area in the middle of Austin's busy tourism district.

We're getting ahead of ourselves, though. The first thing you should do when planning a distillery tour is to make a plan. Do some research on the distilleries in the area. Check and see when they are open and what their hours are. If you have a large group, call ahead and make a reservation (if the distillery accepts reservations).

Tips for Distillery Tours in Austin

We've all had it happen before: you day-drink a little too much and by the time it's time to hit the town you're ready to hit the sack. It's easy to avoid this with a winery tour or a brewery tour, but when you're tasting hard liquor all day it all comes down to two things: pacing and moderation.

When you're on a winery or brewery tour, you won't be tasting full glasses of wine or full pints of beer, but you have the option to purchase them. The same thing happens at distilleries, so you'll just want to remember to pace yourself and drink lots of water between stops.

There are two types of tours at a distillery: a distillery tour and a tasting one. A distillery tour will walk you through the process of making the liquor and a tasting tour is, well, a tasting tour. For maximum effect, we recommend visiting 3-4 distilleries and switching between distillery and tasting tours at each stop.

As for how to display good manners in a distillery, it's fairly simple. There are three things you should do to make a good impression at a distillery:

Be on time!
Treat this as you would to any other reservation. If you make one at a distillery, that means they turn down potential business from other reservations to accommodate yours. Be respectful and be on time. This means that when you set a pickup time for your party bus, you need to make sure everyone is on time for that as well. Speaking of: book a party bus for group transportation!

Tip the tasting room staff.
The tasting room staff should be tipped as you would tip a server at a restaurant. They are entertaining you for the time you are there and should be rewarded for that.

Share photos and videos on social media.
Finally, it's important to remember that the best kind of kickback you can give a local distillery is to promote them on social media. Take pictures at each distillery and tag them on social media. It's a great way to show your appreciation.

What Ninja Buses Has to Offer

Ninja Buses visits dozens of distilleries every weekend, so what we can offer you is inside knowledge on the ins and outs of each distillery, carefully guiding you through the selection and planning process.

Bachelor Party Brewery Tours in Austin 101

8/29/2018

So you've got a date set for your bachelor/bachelorette party, but maybe a winery tour isn't the route you want to take. Or maybe you don't want to travel to the Hill Country to drink. If you don't, then you're in luck! Taking Austin, Texas brewery tours is the perfect way to spend the day before your nightly festivities. Think of it as an extended pre-gaming session.

Why Go to Austin, Texas for Your Brewery Tours?

If you still haven't decided on a city for your bachelor party, then you may need some convincing that Austin is the right place for your celebration. Austin is also home to over 30 breweries that you can visit during your big weekend. Of course, it didn't use to be this way, but over the years the industry has seen a rather notable increase in size. It seems like there are new breweries popping up every single day!

One area where the Austin beer scene benefits over the Austin wine scene is the locations. Most of the wineries are relegated to the Hill Country (there are a few in Austin but they're not as densely populated as the breweries).

There are breweries all over the city. No matter which area of Austin you are staying in, there are bound to be a few breweries near you. Be it North Austin, Downtown Austin, the East Side or South Austin, there are a plethora of options for you to choose from.

We are partial to Austin Beerworks and Jester King Brewery, but don't forget the unique breweries like Blue Owl Brewing, which is the nation's first sour mash-only brewery!

Why Do a Brewery Tour For Your Bachelor Party?

Look, we're not saying you should only do a brewery tour for your bachelor party, but you should at least make it one of the various activities you have planned (assuming you followed our suggestion and did plan out your weekend). As mentioned above, doing a brewery tour during the day is a great way to get you in the party mood for that night's festivities.

Whether you're a beer aficionado or a novice, a brewery tour is always fun. Not only do you get to learn about the beer you are drinking, but you're also able to try things you may not have tried in a bar or restaurant setting. We've found that tours like these are the best way to get yourself to try new things. You've already paid for the tour, so what's the harm?

Why is a Party Bus Your Best Option?

Finally, a party bus is the best option for your brewery tour, if only because it keeps your entire group together so that you don't have to rent a bunch of Ubers to cart all of you around. You could choose to book with a company that deals exclusively with brewery tours in Austin Texas, but the downside to that is once the tour is over you are done.

With a party bus, you can opt to keep the party bus throughout the night and have it take you wherever you need to go. There also won't be any extra charges for a private tour since all party bus rentals are private.

Plus, there will be plenty of space on a party bus to bring some alcohol of your own. Most party buses are equipped with superior stereo systems and flat-screen TVs as well, which aren't things you're likely to find in a brewery tour company.

One thing you definitely want to remember when booking a party bus for your brewery tour is this: find out who is responsible for making reservations at each brewery. Most breweries accept smaller groups on a walk-in basis, but they require advance notice for the larger groups. Some party bus companies will arrange all of this for you, but others will not. Make sure you know if you are responsible for making reservations at the breweries.

When it comes to financial planning, it's the easiest way to make sure everyone knows how much money they have to spend on travel (and they can pay in advance!). When you're planning a bachelor party, the only extra expenses you should have to worry about are food and drinks. Don't make travel a variable cost. Get it locked down in advance so you don't have to worry about it! This will save you from any awkward moments with your friends when it comes to collecting cash at the end of the trip.

Take a Wine Tour in Your Bachelor Party? Why Not?

8/23/2018

Taking wine tours isn't exactly the first activity that comes to mind when you think of a bachelor party, but hear me out. If you've got a full weekend planned (which you most definitely should), a wine tour is a perfect breather between those typical bachelor party activities in Austin Texas.

How Can Your Bachelor Party Be Different with a Wine Tour?

Wine bachelor (or bachelorette) parties are on the rise. There are plenty of ways to drink on the big night/weekend, so why not mix it up a little bit?

Austin has emerged as one of the prime go-to destinations for bachelor and bachelorette parties, but if you want to get out of the city for just a bit, a wine tour is a perfect way to do that. You can get a ride out during lunchtime and be back in the later afternoon before the
real festivities begin.

What is Special About Wine Tours in Austin, Texas?

When most people think about the best wineries in the country, Texas isn't a location that immediately springs to mind. The big spots are Napa, Willamette Valley and Sonoma. Don't underestimate the Texas Hill Country, though. Just about an hour-long drive from downtown Austin sits over 70 wineries for your visiting (and tasting) pleasure.

This region has emerged as the center of the Texas Wine Industry, and for good reason. It's quickly growing to be known as one of the best wine regions in the world! This may come as a surprise, considering that Texas has to fight many odd weather challenges (hail, intense heat, late spring frosts, etc.), but those conditions are what have made Texas wine so unique among all other wines.

The wineries in the Texas Hill Country all offer tastings for a nominal fee, especially when compared to some of the wineries in the more popular regions of the world.
Also a plus? The wineries in Texas are a little more experimental than most other established wineries in the popular regions. So you're likely to taste something unlike anything else you've tasted before.
Another unique aspect of Hill Country wineries is that many of them opt to sell directly to consumers as opposed to going into distribution. You won't be able to find many of these wines in your local grocery stores.

Wine tours in the Texas Hill Country aren't only about the wine, either. On the drive out to the Hill Country, you're bound to be amazed by all of the sites, especially if you visit some of the wineries in Fredericksburg, a small town noted for its Main Street Shopping District.

Why is a Party Bus the Suitable Option For You?

There are many wine tour companies in the Austin area, but usually, their default rates are per person and are for non-private tours (meaning you will be joined by a few other groups of people). If they do happen to offer private tours, the rates for those will be higher than the non-private ones.

With a party bus company, your tour will always be private and it will not be charged at a higher rate since party bus bookings are private. Because many of these touring companies have smaller vehicles, they also have a limit on how many people can be on a bus at one time.

If you book a party bus, then you can have up to 30 people in your group altogether. Most party bus companies charge by the hour, as opposed to the passenger quantity, so in the end, you'll save a lot more money by booking a party bus.
If you have a smaller group, then a wine touring company is probably your best option, but if you have more than 10 people, then a party bus is the way to go.

Do you know that party buses come equipped with superior sound systems and TVs for your viewing pleasure? Most vehicles used by touring companies will be large vans or trucks that do not come equipped with amenities such as these. Plus, with a party bus, you are free to move about and avoid the cramped spaces of vans. It's called a party bus for a reason!

One final benefit of booking a party bus for your wine tour is that you can choose any wineries you want to visit. Most wine tour companies have established relationships with certain wineries and thus have pre-selected routes for you to take. If you book a party bus company, you're in control!

To recap, here are the major differences between using a party bus and a touring company for your wine tour:
Touring Company
  • Rates are Charged Per Person
  • Smaller Vehicles and Smaller Capacity
  • Different Rates are Charged for Private Tours
  • Complimentary Snacks and Cracker/Cheese Trays
  • Pre-Set Winery Routes

Party Bus Company
  • Rates are Charged By the Hour
  • Larger Vehicles and Larger Capacity
  • Prices are Usually for Private Bookings
  • B.Y.O.B.
  • You Can Select Your Own Wine Route

When planning your friend's bachelor/bachelorette party, don't let standard touring companies put a limit on your imagination or your fun. Ninja Buses offers knowledgeable planning guidance and a one-of-a-kind party bus experience.

Bachelor Party Bus Rental Tips from the Austin Experts

8/22/2018

If you've never done it before, booking a party bus can be a somewhat nerve-wracking process. What are the rules? What do I need to look out for? Why is it so expensive? Are you getting ripped off? It doesn't have to be, though. We want to make the process as painless as possible. So how do you rent a party bus? Let's find out.

Tips for Renting a Party Bus

Renting a party bus is a relatively simple procedure, but there are still a few things that you'll want to make sure you do when going through the process. This ultimately boils down to one thing: know as much information beforehand so that there are less unknown variables when making a reservation.

The five main things you will want to know are:
     1. Guest count. While most party bus companies charge by the hour, some charge per passenger. Even if they do charge by the hour, you'll want to know your guest count to ensure you pick the right size bus.

       2. Time length. Remember that you're paying by the hour. When letting your party bus representative know how long you would like to book the bus for, be sure to give yourself plenty of time and account for drive times between stops.

    3. The rules. Read the rental agreement/contract! You will see many of the same stipulations shared between party bus companies' contracts, but many have their own special rules as well. It is important to read this document thoroughly, especially when dealing with a busload of inebriated passengers.

       4. The fees. It's okay to ask about any extra fees. Most party bus companies include a service charge that is a percentage of your subtotal, but you want to make sure you know exactly what that fee covers.

       5. The itinerary. This is the one thing most people forget about when reserving a party bus. You know you want to ride in one, but where do you want to go?

Procedure for Renting a Party Bus

It may seem like a simple task, but you'd be surprised how many people don't understand how booking a party bus works. Knowing that, we've put together a step-by-step procedure that most party bus companies follow when making reservations. That procedure is comprised of seven easy steps:
  1. Finalize your date and guest count.
  2. If you have an itinerary in mind, get that finalized as well, but most of the time your representative at the party bus company will be able to help you plan your outing.
  3. Call the party bus company or fill out a website form (the latter of which is the most helpful since it usually includes all of the information you need to know before booking). If you don't know all the details, that's okay! Just fill out what you can.
  4. Review the quote that is sent to you and ask any questions you may have. Don't be shy!
  5. Book your party bus and time slot with a deposit.
  6. Pay the remaining balance when it is due (the due date varies depending on the party bus company).
  7. Have fun!

When you're following this procedure, use the tips we listed above, and be sure to brush up on the rates of party buses and the rules of party buses. Remember, you can never be too informed.

We've Planned It All! What to Consider When Planning A Bachelor Party in Austin, Texas

8/21/2018

Austin, Texas is the perfect city for planning the "perfect" bachelor party, but what exactly does that mean?
It means that everything goes off without a hitch.

Austin, Texas offers an endless selection of bachelor and bachelorette activity options, and that is why planning is so important!

Here we will look at what it takes to plan a memorable bachelor party in and around beautiful Austin, Texas.

Why Is Planning a Bachelor Party Important?

Let's assume that the person planning the bachelor party is either the best friend or a relative of the groom-to-be(no groom should ever have to plan his own bachelor party).

When planning a night out with a group of friends, there's usually valuable time wasted trying to determine where everyone should go.

Austin, Texas in particular, with its nightlife, its wine and brewery tours, and its live music, can create indecisiveness if plans are not nailed down ahead of time.  But if you plan ahead, you can't go wrong no matter what you choose to do in this exciting city!

What Aspects Should You Consider?

First, lock down the date and length of the party. Is this going to be a destination bachelor party? Will it take place over a whole week, a weekend, or just one night? It is impossible to plan the party without knowing how much time you're working with and where you're going.

When that is settled, it's time to select a party bus, this "How to" guide will help you consider every bachelor party planning factor.

Finally, it is time to plan the itinerary.

So what does the groom-to-be like to do?

If he's not into sports, nix the sports bars. If he loves dancing, start thinking about the most exciting dance clubs (there are more than a few in Austin!). Simply put: keep the groom in mind throughout the planning process.

Next, pick locations and decide how long you're going to stay at each stop. Since you're already spending the money on a party bus, set aside some time to actually enjoy it, especially if most of your scheduled stops are in close proximity to one another.

Night rides around the beautiful city of Austin, Texas on the ultimate party bus can really take the whole experience up a level.

Another key to successful bachelor party planning is remembering the little details that most people tend to forget during a wild bachelor party weekend...like hangovers.

Make sure you leave enough time in the morning for everyone to get over their hangover, or make sure you rent a bus with a sofa or a bed so that some of your group can recover while you're on the road.

Once everything is in place and you are sure your bro or sis will have the time of their lives, enjoy the ride and have fun!

The Last Word on Austin Party Bus Guides

Once you've chosen which party bus company you are going to use and reviewed the rules for that company, you must decide which bus you are going to ride in during your trip. You may think that it doesn't matter which bus you choose, but not all party buses were created equally. There may be a certain feature that you assume is featured in each party bus that actually isn't. There are a few things that you will want to keep in mind after reading this party bus guide.

Choosing Party Bus Guide

Headcount
If you have 20 guests, you don't necessarily want to rent a bus that can accommodate 40 people. Odds are, it's going to be more expensive and you'll have plenty of unused space. So unless you really want your party bus to be spacious, choose a bus that fits the size of your group. Knowing your full headcount can be a bit of a gamble, however. Most of the time, someone may bring a guest that you didn't account for, so you'll always want to account for two to four extra heads when planning your party bus experience.

Personal Items
On that same note, if you know your group will be bringing a lot of items onto the party bus (say, ice chests for summer float trips), then you may want to choose a bus that has a little bit of extra room. If you rent a 20-person party bus for your group of 18, they may feel like sardines in a can if everyone brings a large personal item on board.

Prevent Things From Getting Awkward
If you're throwing a bachelor or bachelorette party, it's unlikely that everyone invited will know each other. It can be beneficial to allow a little extra space so people who don't know each other don't feel obligated to sit next to each other. Of course, if it's a pretty close-knit group, then this might not matter to you!

Amenities
Party buses have a wide variety of amenities, and if you're throwing a bachelor party these will no doubt be the most important factors to consider when booking a party bus. It is so important to choose the right bus so that you don't kill the vibe during the party. For example, if the groom-to-be loves karaoke, then find a bus that includes a karaoke system!

Other amenities to consider are stripper poles, wet bars, video game consoles, TVs and DVD players. Another big item that people tend to forget is a restroom. If you're going to be driving around town most of the night with limited stops, a restroom can be an invaluable amenity.

Lastly, it's always beneficial to think about safety, especially when alcohol is involved. Most party buses will have certain safety measures in place, so check and see what your party bus offers.

Before choosing which party bus you're going to use, make a list of everything you would like to see in it and use that list when making your selection.

Why Ninja Buses?

Ninja Buses offers a wide variety of amenities in our fleet of vehicles, which makes it a perfect fit for any type of bachelor party needs.

Our most popular bus is "Calypso", John Denver's actual tour bus! This bus is like a time portal back to the '80s, but with a modern flair. The furnishings are the same as they were when Denver traveled across the country (wet bar, velour seating and a nautical-themed interior), but we have added TVs, speakers, two Nintendo Entertainment Systems, karaoke and more! This is the ultimate bachelor party bus.

As for the rest of our fleet, have you ever wished you could throw a party in one of Austin's Cap Metro buses? If so, then you are in luck! Our newest acquisition is an actual Cap Metro City Bus. Booking a trip in this bus brings back memories of college trips downtown, only this time you have exclusive use of the bus and you're allowed to drink! This bus is perfect for bachelor parties that are comprised mainly of bar-hopping around the city of Austin.

Filling out our fleet are two school buses that have been refurbished into party bus-style seating, with TVs and sound systems added for good measure. If you're going to the lake or planning a float trip for your party, these buses include in-seat Yeti Coolers as well.

At Ninja Buses, we try to have as wide a variety of options available to you so that you can choose the perfect bus for your party. We've done a pretty good job, if we do say so ourselves!

Can You Drink on a Party Bus in Austin?

8/13/2018

The main reason people book a party bus for their method of travel is quite simple: it acts as your designated driver and you are able to drink while you're on it.

Yes, you read that right.
You can drink on a party bus.

This may come as a surprise to you, especially since we've already covered many of
the standard rules of party buses, but while you are still able to drink on a party bus, there are still some rules that should be followed.

Can I Drink on a Party Bus?

One of the first things people think about when renting a party bus in Texas is the Open Container Law (Texas State Penal Code Section 49.031). According to that law, it is illegal to "knowingly possess an open container in a passenger area of a motor vehicle on a public highway, regardless of whether the vehicle is moving or parked."

Luckily for you, passenger vehicles like party buses are excluded from this law, as are limousines, charter buses and taxicabs! So drink (responsibly) away!

What Are Party Bus Companies' Drinking Regulations?

While you are allowed to drink on a party bus, the driver is not. Shocking, right? But seeing as how that driver is responsible for the safety of you and your guests, that's probably a good thing.

Similarly, unless the party bus company has gone through the proper channels (those in Texas must secure a Passenger Bus Permit through the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission), it is illegal for them to provide or sell alcohol to anyone on board. As such, you will find that most party bus companies will provide a cooler with ice water and empty drink vessels on their trips.

Many party bus companies will restrict anyone under the age of 21 from boarding their vehicles, but if they don't, they will likely have a line item in their contract stating that they will not allow minors to drink alcohol. If they witness such an act, your trip will likely be over and you will not receive a refund. To prevent cases like that, some companies may prevent alcoholic beverages on board for the duration of your trip.

When it comes to behavior, it is important to remember that while the party bus company will hold you accountable for your own behavior, the law might view the driver as responsible instead. This doesn't mean that the driver is there to act as the "fun police," but they are there to make sure that everyone is safe. If someone in your party begins acting unruly, the driver may take them to a safe dropoff point and ask them to vacate the bus.

Tips for Drinking on a Party Bus

When it comes to tips for drinking on a party bus, it all boils down to common sense, but here are a few helpful tips to see you through your trip:
    1. Read the terms of alcohol consumption in your party bus rental contract.
    2. Bring your ID.
    3. Drink lots of water.
    4. Respect your driver. You should have fun, but you shouldn't act too rowdy.
    5. And, most importantly, don't forget to B.Y.O.B.!

Why Should You Choose Ninja Buses for Your Bachelor Party?

Learning Party Bus Rules to Keep Your Trip Safe and Enjoyable

8/7/2018

Now that we've covered the rates of party buses, it's time to go into the somewhat less fun aspect of party bus rules.

After all, what dampens the party vibe more than a bunch of strict rules? The fact of the matter is that all of the rules implemented by party bus companies are there to help keep you and your guests safe. Party bus companies want you to have fun, but they also want to make sure you and your friends don't hurt yourselves in the process.

There are a plethora of rules you may come across during your party bus hunt, but let's do a quick review of some of the more common rules you will see.

General Rules

General rules are the rules that fall into the "common sense" category of partying on a bus. Basically, these are rules that shouldn't have to be stated, but they are anyway. Not adhering to these rules will usually result in the immediate cancellation of your trip, sometimes without a refund.

Some examples of general party bus rules that you will most likely come across during your search are:
  • No guns or any other types of weapons on board the party bus.
  • No smoking is allowed on the party bus.
  • No illegal drugs are permitted on the party bus.
  • No tampering with any of the electronics or accessories on the party bus.
  • No underage drinking is permitted (this will be covered in more detail in our blog about drinking rules on party buses).

Some other general rules might not be so obvious. Some companies may restrict the use of glitter or confetti in their buses since party favors like those tend to be a hassle to clean up at the end of a drive. Others might prevent kegs from being used on the bus or include a rule stating that the driver has the right to deny anyone entry on to the party bus.

These rules vary from company to company so you should make sure you read your contract carefully. If you have any questions about them, don't hesitate to ask your salesperson as they almost always have a reason for enforcing all of their rules. That reason will usually be based on a previous negative experience with a customer.

Safety Rules

Safety should be the number one priority of the party bus company you select. Having fun should be the second. This may seem counter-productive to your goal of having a fun time, but you have to remember that your life is in the hands of your driver. A driver should always prioritize the safety of his passengers over anything else.

In 2017, buses were involved in 3,017 crashes in the state of Texas. 17 of those crashes involved fatalities and 60 of those crashes involved serious injuries.

When researching party bus companies, you want to be sure that they only employ CDL (Commercial Drivers License)-holding drivers. This is not only because it is illegal for anyone other than a CDL-holding driver to operate a bus, but also because those drivers know how to inspect the vehicle they are driving before they take it out on the road. This necessary pre-trip inspection isn't something required of drivers carrying a regular drivers license.

With a CDL-holding driver operating your party bus, you know you are in good hands.

For passengers, the most common safety rule is to avoid moving around the vehicle while it is in motion. Again, this is something that should be fairly obvious, but you would be surprised at how many people like to walk around the bus while it is going 60mph down the highway.

Rental Rules

Now comes the fun part. What are the rules when reserving a party bus? Every party bus company will have different rules, but usually, these rules are in place to ensure that the company is able to stay in business. You will want to carefully review this section of your contract before you book with a party bus company.

Of course, you should carefully read the entire contract before you book with a party bus company, but the reservation rules will be particularly important since they pertain to your deposit and the company's cancellation fee.

Most party bus companies will require some sort of deposit (usually non-refundable) when reserving one of their buses. This deposit is usually to cover overhead costs for the company. You see, when you make a reservation, the company is unable to book the bus you choose to another party during your time block (and, in some cases, for the whole day/night).

If you cancel at the last minute, it is unlikely that the company will be able to re-book the bus for the date you canceled. A non-refundable deposit is essentially a show of confidence that you will keep your end of the bargain in the exchange of services.

Another thing to consider is the possible reasons for delays or cancellations that are out of the control of both the renter and the party bus company. Factors could include weather, mechanical issues and traffic conditions. Usually, in the case of things like that, the party bus company isn't liable and thus the customer is not entitled to a refund. There will usually be a line item for these types of instances in your contract.

Suggestions for Renters

All of the information on party bus rules included in this article will assist you when you are booking a party bus, but here are some additional suggestions to keep in mind when doing your research:
  1. If you are unsure of anything, ASK.
  2. ALWAYS read the contract/rental agreement thoroughly.
  3. Ask if all of the drivers have their CDLs. If they don't, then don't book that company!
  4. Upon booking, ask for the driver to contact you the day of your trip so you have a way to keep in touch with him throughout the day/night.
  5. Make sure you are reserving a sufficient time block. Travel time for buses is about 1/3 longer than a car so you will want to account for that.

Ninja Buses will always bring top level, CDL-holding drivers and committed to safety to your bachelor party, so all you have to worry about is how good a time you want to have.

Understanding Austin, Texas Party Bus Rates and What They Include

8/2/2018

Do you want to have the best bachelor party bus in Austin, Texas, but are unsure about rental options or the rates? Or are you unsure that a party bus is even the best option for your bachelor/bachelorette party?

With a party bus, you are guaranteed to have the ultimate bachelor party experience that can't be replicated using a traditional rideshare service. You can plan a route yourself or, if you're from out of town and aren't sure of the hot spots in the area, a party bus company can help you plan a route based on your interests.

The first thing that comes to mind when booking a party bus, however, is cost.

What's Included in A Party Bus Rental?

Party bus companies include a variety of amenities that are making them the most attractive transportation options available.

Not only will you get one amazing party bus driven by a CDL (Commercial Drivers License)-holding driver to keep your group safe and sound, but you'll usually get:
  • A killer sound system
  • Flat-screen TVs
  • An ambient and thematic interior
  • Complimentary party-planning services (many party bus companies will plan out your entire experience if you desire)

Some companies even have a group host as an add-on. A host's job is to cater to your group throughout the night, keeping you entertained while also tidying up the bus a bit during stops.

Why Party Bus?

Due to the higher cost, many people may opt to use traditional rideshare services for their big night out, but we have learned that the party bus route is the way to go.

Why is that? Well, it's the only way to ensure that your entire group stays together!

Plus, party buses are BYOB, which means you have plenty of time to pre-game before reaching your destination and drinking (responsibly) between stops.

Booking a party bus also ensures that you always have a private place to relax as well.

Have you ever tried booking an Uber in downtown Austin on a Saturday night?

It can be quite chaotic, especially if you are trying to visit several different locations! Not only will you have different drivers at each stop, but you won't have a secure place to store your belongings.

With a party bus, you will have one dedicated and assured driver at every stop, along with a safe place to store your belongings. This makes for a more comfortable and convenient experience for your bachelor party.

Factors That Affect Pricing

There are two main factors that can affect party bus rates, the most important of which is time.

Most party bus companies charge by the hour! To get the most out of your booking, it is important that your whole group be ready at the agreed-upon pick-up time so your party isn't delayed.

While some companies are usually able to accommodate last-minute trip extensions, that isn't always the case. Each company handles their scheduling differently, but if you schedule an 8-hour block beginning at noon one day, it would be reasonable to expect that the vehicle you have booked has another trip scheduled at 9 pm that night.

The second factor affecting party bus rates is the service charge, which is anywhere from 10% to 20% of your subtotal. There will usually be a line item on your invoice for something like this, but you will want to check and see what exactly that covers.

Usually, it is to cover fuel costs and routine maintenance, but some companies include the gratuity in that line items as well. It is important to see what that fee covers so you know if you need to tip your driver at the end of your trip!

Standard Austin Party Bus Rates

Party buses are usually rented by the hour, and rates can vary from anywhere between $50 per hour to $300 per hour, depending on the company and the chosen vehicle.

For example, the Austin-based party bus company Ninja Buses has six vehicles that usually* range in price from $125 per hour to $270 per hour. These fees are a flat rate and don't change no matter where you are going and no matter the time of day/night your trip is taking place!

That flexibility is something that sets them apart from other party bus companies in Austin because many of them have higher rates for weekend trips or trips that take place at night.

For a complete list of Ninja Buses' rates, simply visit their website here.

*Austin is a popular city with many special events that take place throughout the year. Because of this, there will be some dates that have excessive demands, thus increasing rates. Important events to remember are SXSW (usually during Spring Break every March), Austin City Limits (the first two weekends of October) and F1 (the last weekend of October).
